SurvivalBlog’s Editor-At-Large Mike Williamson sent us a link to some valid criticism of a prepper ad, over at  X/Twitter. JWR’s Comments: The rust on that saw shows that it isn’t used often, or well cared for.  And seeing him make his cut between the sawbuck supports is downright laughable.  He is moments away from getting his saw pinched.

U.S. citizens can now renew their passports online. JWR’s Comment:  Keeping passports updated for every family member is important.  You never know when you might need to implement a “Plan C” or even a “Plan D”, for bug-out.

SuvivalBlog reader Jerry X. sent this comment on the current presidential race:

“It is apparent that Kamala is following the strategy laid out by Joe Biden when he ran in 2020, that being do as few appearances as possible, as few interviews as possible and be as nebulous as possible in your responses. Then spend the rest of your time in the basement of your home. It worked for Joe because he had been told not to worry, the election was a done deal. Now that we see Kamala doing basically the same thing, can we assume that she has also been told not to worry, the election is a done deal? Ya got to love compooters.

I had a good and very smart friend mention the other day that she feels that while Donald will in reality win with the votes and required states needed to be elected but that he will not be elected president because the virtual election will show he lost (God bless the computer and AI). Can’t really argue with that, given that some states start voting up to 6 weeks before election day, that there seems to be no way to track mail-in ballots in some states and now we hear that hand fulls of ballots being scheduled for mailing to strip malls and WalMarts in some states (the addresses given by fictitious voters?) to be picked up by who? This is still a breaking and unraveling story so validity has not yet been proven) With some states allowing illegals to register to vote when they get a driver’s license.”

Reader R.W. sent us a link to a piece in the Washington Post where they simply lie about some scientific data: Scientists have captured Earth’s climate over the last 485 million years. Here’s the surprising place we stand now. Reader R.W.’s comments:

“Right after proving that we live in the coldest period in Earth’s history, they wrote: ‘And for the billions of people who are now living through the hottest years ever recorded — and facing a hotter future still — Judd said the timeline should serve as a wake-up call.’

This is the most tortured misinterpretation of data I’ve ever seen. They establish “proxy” data points and then create an algorithm to prove their artifice of “climate change” or “global warming”. It’s been much, much warmer throughout Earth’s history and we are currently evolving from an environment of falling temperatures for the last 50 million years.

Consider two more quotes:

“At no point in the nearly half-billion years that Judd and her colleagues analyzed did the Earth change as fast as it is changing now”.

And,

“When the environment warms that fast, animals and plants can’t keep pace with it.”
That is scientific and journalistic malfeasance of the first order. That tiny little spike shown under a microscope represents 300,000 years. That is .0006% (six ten thousandths of one percent) of their timeline. As it is, in mathematics, science, biology, physics, and every other ‘hard’ discipline, not even a rounding error. It doesn’t even rise to the threshold of statistical chatter or static.
The damage being done by these thinly veiled propagandists vilifying human life itself to achieve the goal of population reduction is manifestly evil as it is intended to concentrate the remaining wealth and resources in the grasping hands of a few elite billionaires.”

Ninth Circuit Panel Rules That California Can’t Prohibit Concealed Carry in HospitalsJWR’s Comment: The leftist “Ninth Circus” has been notoriously arbitrary and overwhelmingly anti-gun in its decisions since the 1960s.  They need several good spankings by the Supreme Court!

“On Monday, September 23, at around 1054, telephone and internet service went down in at least three southeastern states including South Carolina. The outage persisted for approximately ten hours, during which most residents were unable to contact friends and family, make online payments or do any of the other things we take for granted in our daily lives. In my case, I was in the middle of making a medical appointment for my wife, who is recovering from a serious head injury, when the phones went down. At first, I thought it was a problem with my cell phone, but landlines were out as well.
The only answer we have received so far is that ‘an unidentified third party’ cut a major infrastructure link.
Who was this mysterious ‘third party’?
Could it be someone who entered the country illegally? Agents of some foreign government, NGO or corporation?
The Biden-Harris administration is undeniably in the pay of the Chinese Communists. They have allowed the Chinese to buy up literal square miles of land adjacent to key US installations, and they have aided and abetted in infiltrating untold numbers of military-age men from China and other enemy nations into US territory. Where they are and what they are doing is unknown. Could they have caused yesterday’s outage? Was it a trial balloon to see how we would respond and recover? What if it happened on Election Day? Wouldn’t that cause chaos as both sides (legitimately) cried foul?
While the FBI persecutes pro-life grannies and vilifies veterans, they ignore the obvious threats presented by the cancerous sleeper cells embedded in our nation. This cannot continue if we are to survive.”

Reader L.E. sent this snippet:

“How to make a “breathing” jar [inhaler] for the cold/flu season:

Find a clean glass jar with a tight-fitting screw-on lid. The jar should be at least 3 inches across and at least 6-8 inches high. I use empty glass peanut butter or salad dressing-type glass jars. Pour about 1/3 cup (or a handful) of plain Epsom Salt in the bottom of the jar, then add 3-4 drops of eucalyptus oil onto the salt. Whenever you need to clear your stuffy nose or need to catch a breath (when the asthma inhalers have become unobtainable), just shake the jar a little, open the top, stick your nose in and take in a deep breath through your nose, then do the same again this time putting your open mouth into the top of the jar. The breathing jar will last several months before the eucalyptus oil dries out, then you can refresh the oil in the jar again. For deeper breaths, you can also run hot water over the outside of the jar to allow the oil to drift upwards. For a holiday gift, just tie a ribbon around the neck of the jar or pop a stick-on holiday bow on the lid. You can also give the jar to a baby to play with, like a rattle, as long as the lid is on tightly enough that little fingers can’t pry it loose.”
