We can learn a great deal about what transpired at Nuremberg and how it could affect us today, should it ever come to be that patriots are deemed the enemy.
1. Laws and charges were created after the fact at Nuremberg because much of what they were accused of was not illegal at the time.
2. Statements given at the tribunal against the accused were taken as fact without corroboration as to their veracity.
3. Anyone who was associated with the Nazi party, even though they may not have committed any crime were also considered guilty by association.
4. The allies, in many cases were equally guilty of the same crimes charged against the Nazi’s.
While we certainly do not try to exonerate the Nazi leadership from crimes committed against humanity during the war…I believe that precedent was established for future criminal cases against those who would go against the US government.
4.
Same thing should be done to the modern day fascist and socialist politicians in America. This will put the rest on notice that they are screwing with the wrong people/nation.
Just sayin’…..
