October 4, 1923 is the birthday of the late Charlton Heston, who was born John Charles Carter. He died April 5, 2008. He is often remembered for movies like Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments, Soylent Green, The Planet of the Apes, and the survivalist classic The Omega Man.

The NRA was neutered a long time ago.
The NRA was a gun-control project from its origin, and has helped bring us both the Firearms Act and the GCA. It is one of the biggest farces in the history of the 2nd Amendment. However, we are glad for all that their half-way measures have done to slow the decline of freedom.
Have you ever noticed the big slur their history programs give our Protestant founding fathers, and that every time they mention faith, it is always Roman Catholic?
By the way, the very quiet official position of the Roman Church is, “No firearms for civilians.”
The NRA is a fine example of Sun Tzuian tactics, harnessing the opposition. Or, a Judo-like manuver of using the enemy’s energy to defeat him.
Eternal vigilance is the price of safety, because without it, every engine of liberty will be coopted and used against us.
