On December 2nd, 1823, what became known as the Monroe Doctrine was declared by President James Monroe to Congress outlining a foreign policy initiative that forbade European interference in the American hemisphere but also asserted U.S. neutrality in regard to future European conflicts.

    Today the US has been waging war in the Middle East for essentially 28 years. Yet virtually no one is crying to ‘Bring the Troops Home’. How did a once God-fearing nation become so blood thirsty? And we call ourselves ‘Christians’?

    1. I am with you, Roger D. I fear the religion of our country involves worship of oil, money, and power. We have been warned many times. And yet, perpetual war.
