I’m announcing a big sale at Elk Creek Company: The Tiebreaker Time of Trouble Sale. This sale is designed to draw attention to the fact that the Senate Democrats have now demonstrated that with the help of Vice President Kamala Harris, they now effectively control the Senate. Along with Democrat rule in the House of Representatives, they are now in a position to push forward most of their dastardly “gun control” agenda. Chances are, this will include “Universal Background Checks” for post-1898 guns. I have put more than half of the Elk Creek Company pre-1899 guns on sale, for just 10 days. This sale will end at 9 PM PST, on Monday, February 15th, 2020. Please contact your Senators and congressmen, and insist that they oppose all “gun control” legislation. And in case this legislative effort fails: Stock up! Pre-1899 guns will become the last bastion of firearms transaction privacy.

Living in Oregon it is sometimes more frustrating to contact the congress creatures than to not. Our two senators and all but maybe one rep are fully onboard with any and all anti gun/ freedom legislation. “It’s for the children” of course or “the future of our country depends on it”.
Same sad, tired, and spineless arguments are what are received from any communication with them; that is if they decide your comments are worthy of a response. I was never a big fan of the Police (the band that is and the other is a day by day wait and see approach), but lately I keep hearing the lyrics “There is no political solution”.
Ran across this article regarding troop withdrawal from Germany.
https://sofrep.com/news/biden-administration-orders-halt-to-troop-withdrawals-from-germany/
IMO I do not view Russia as a particular threat to US interests at this time. I don’t think of them as a friend either. And I say this as a Cold War submariner who spent a couple decades on boats ready to take them on when they were (IMO) a serious threat.
I think this illustrates the shenanigans the globalists are playing right now. Germany refuses to honor their NATO agreements and cuts deals to make themselves massively reliant on Russian energy and then uses us to protect them from the Russians who probably are not a threat to Germany to begin with. And when someone stands up (Trump) and says this is BS we take them down because we have established hundreds, if not thousands, of these illogical situations (and not just in the realm of defense) all over this planet that can only serve one purpose. Enrich a selected few at the expense of most people.
That is just my opinion. I am kind of interested in JWRs thoughts if any on the NATO situation having been an Intel Officer way back. Other than Ukraine (which is a whole subject of its own) is Russia a significant threat to Europe today or in the foreseeable future?
Could you please tell me which Obligations wie didn´t honor?
Starting with the sweat, blood, pain and lives of our soldiers whose only reason to fight was to honour the obligation to our ally USA!
2% of GDP commitment to defense spending promised by all NATO members.
And do not construe my comment as a criticism of German soldiers. They are fine soldiers and traditionally have always been. There are just too few of them.
Could you please tell me the year?
Is that binding agreement or was that not more of an optional agreement?
That is another problem, what use are chariots without the warriors to use them?
There is little chance we get enough active soldiers in our military to make investing 2% of our GDP in our military remotely sensible!
Defense spending is not the same as military spending, investing in infrastructure to support NATO/EU defence is not automatically included in our Ministry of Defense but often in other Ministries budget, example given traffic.
Our Autobahn in West Germany doubled as fighter airport, important bridges´d been built with the option to destruct them up “easily”
Anyone notice the sudden uptick in boating accidents lately/ Last I heard it was up somewhere around 1000%, simply amazing isn’t it, and in the middle of frozen lakes no less….
You’re right Delroy, there is no political answer. There will be 2 countries, each following their own rule of law, or 1 under the Constitution.
As for me, I will kneel down to no man, I answer but to one God, and He the giver of all my rights.
I know right?! My friends who live over beach side say lots of boat traffic by the marina, people carrying bags of things that don’t look like fishing gear, so I bet that there has been an interesting study published in a marine archaeology journal and it’s gone viral and these are all newly ‘minted’ treasure hunters trying their luck………..
Rest in Peace, Ronald Reagan. You are and will always be greatly missed!

They mentioned a lower quality of newer FD meals compared to decades ago.
I wonder how folks are doing with their home freeze dryers?
A good report in the link above on the Mountain House taste testing, especially after so many years! It’s inspiring, and I’ll be watching for reports on experiences with homemade freeze-dried meals!

One commenter suggested that she would be our “Dear Leader” very soon. Another said that breaking glass ceilings doesn’t count when cheating is involved.
I found this strange, unsettling, and somewhat tone deaf given everything about our current political environment.
……..yikes. *cringe*
