Preparedness Notes for Friday — August 21, 2020

In 1986, Lake Nyos in Cameroon erupted with an estimated billion cubic yards of carbon dioxide gas. The gas had apparently been accumulating in the crater lake, held down by the weight of the water. When it finally erupted, the gas cloud smothered and killed every living animal, including insects, in its path until it dissipated. Outsiders learned of the disaster when they approached the villages and found animal and human bodies on the ground. The best estimate is that 1,700 people and thousands of cattle died.

  1. Found on Matt Bracken’s Gab page this morning was this article that explores the question of which side the military will support. The comments are extensive, and enlightening. Don’t just read the article and skip the comments. The article asks the question and delivers a single opinion, but the comment section provides a consensus, and insights that go far beyond the article. This is seriously good stuff.

OH, YOU THOUGHT THEY WERE ON YOUR SIDE?

[Even our military has turned Left.]

      1. They don’t think. That is why they are leftists. When in Europe decades ago, I ran into communists whom were fanatical. It is a religion that has no truth in it, but promises believers worldly goods, a utopia for useful idiots, the intellectually dishonest and lazy. It is a tool for the elite who have their own satanic religion, and wish to destroy this country, and eventually the planet. Most of these commies here in the U.S. do not even understand what socialism/communism is, and certainly not it’s history. Regardless of military rank, education, or socio-economic status in general, indoctrinated by the educational system, Americans have become incredibly ignorant, and so decadent that they will destroy the country that created such wealth that they enjoy today. Could we define ‘stupid’ any better?

        1. No unfortunately not. He needs help and gets $400 but the guys willing to cry and bawl in front of the counselor gets 80%+ even though they never left base.
It’s rampant. There’s no jest to it and the joke was on me because they lied.

      2. Matt, it’s not welfare, it’s called a contract. The benefits are a part of an actual contract between the individual and the US military. The contractual benefits make up for the really low pay.

As to who will turn on the people, the leadership of our military is a bunch of neocon warmongers. Neocon = progressive. Progressive = repressive, regressive, suppressive, depressive, oppressive. It’ s who they are.

Some in the treasonous Democrat party are calling for a military coup d’etat against Trump before the election in November, Nazi Pelosi is the leader of the pack. The traitor, General Mark A. Milley, USA, and a slew of generals and admirals, liberals all, seem to be considering it. They are upset that Trump is trying to bring our forever wars to a peaceful end. That doesn’t mean they will attempt a coup, history would not be kind to them. The, what I call, street soldiers, being more conservative, are likely to disobey such orders en mas should that happen.

We’ll see, our future is very murky, at best. Clarity will come after the shooting starts.

    1. I got out of the Navy four years ago. Both myself and a good friend from my first command who also got out are so thankful we escaped before the leadership could turn on us and make our lives miserable. Both of us saw leadership go after people who don’t conform to their views or ‘types’. My friend and I are both conservative and don’t do social ‘clique’ which makes you stand out at some commands. These cliques are liberal and those in them have very poor morals (drunkenness, bullying, theft, spousal cheating, sleep around, etc.).

The Navy is corrupt. There is harassing and bullying which increases suicides. Chiefs and LPOs who go after certain people for one reason or another and don’t hide their intentions to destroy that person. One girl at my first command on a ship not only dated a guy in her division which is supposed to be against command rules, but she was married to a Marine and committed adultery. She got pregnant, was taken off the ship while we were deployed when the pregnancy was discovered, and because she missed the promotion ceremony while we were deployed, they held a special one for her when we got back. Her promotion should have been taken away for the adultery with another member in her division. As far as I know she was never punished. There is so much sex and sex talk on a ship command. Lots of sailors hooking up. A lot of STDs are spread around.

My final example of the deplorable state of the Navy is from my last command. A first class in my division made Chief and took over for our old Chief who retired. Less than a month after making Chief he got arrested for a DUI. He should have been knocked down in rank but wasn’t. How can you respect a leader who gets a DUI shortly after such a big promotion?

Whenever I hear about a Captain being removed from command or some accident involving a ship, I am never surprised. Naval leadership is horrible, training is very deficient, and too many sailors lack morals. So yeah, the Navy cannot be depended on.

    2. We were taught to follow orders. You know that’s how people rise to general…by following orders.

You can usually count on the military to be on the side of whoever is giving orders.

As usual, brothers and sisters, pray big and seek each other before SHTF. That’s when you can learn who is trustworthy.

      Carry on in grace
