When the State gains a monopoly on education (as detailed in Marx’s Manifesto), it gains the power to suppress all education, except that which serves its monopolistic interests. The most common means of suppressing education, is to monopolize the people’s time. This is done by controlling schools, media, socializing, entertainment, and churches. The person who withdraws from these influences a major portion of the time, and drinks at the fountain of Scripture and nature, is a threat to the monopoly.
