To be prepared for a crisis, every Prepper must establish goals and make both long-term and short-term plans. In this column, the SurvivalBlog editors review their week’s prep activities and planned prep activities for the coming week. These range from healthcare and gear purchases to gardening, ranch improvements, bug-out bag fine-tuning, and food storage. This is something akin to our Retreat Owner Profiles, but written incrementally and in detail, throughout the year. We always welcome you to share your own successes and wisdom in your e-mailed letters. We post many of those –or excerpts thereof — in the Odds ‘n Sods Column or in the Snippets column. Let’s keep busy and be ready!
Jim Reports:
Our first two lambs of 2023 arrived this week — one ewe lamb and one ram lamb. Both moms and the lambs are doing well. We are temporarily keeping them jugged up in our small livestock shed, away from the rest of the flock.
Now, Lily’s report…
Avalanche Lily Reports:
Dear Readers,
This week the weather was cloudy and snowy in the beginning of the week and at the end of the week sunny in the low to mid-forties. This week spring has sprung in the return of our first migratory birds. I heard and saw our first robins, the twenty-one or so member flock of Canadian geese that summer in our valley with us, mallard ducks, Oregon juncos, a Great Blue heron in a tree near our bullpen, and the non-native starlings. So exciting to see and hear all of them.
I bought, chopped, and froze ten fresh sweet bell peppers: red, orange, and green.
I spent a fair amount of time in the hen house again, this week, cleaning their house, collecting eggs, and bringing them food.
I have been asked to give my recipe for the homemade feed that I give my birds and the ratios. I have to say that it will depend on what we have on hand. I am not an exacting person and I will be changing their diet often. I feed them table scraps and this week I am feeding them the original mix that I made that consists of sunflower seeds, millet, wheat Germ, kelp powder, unhulled oats, flax seeds, quinoa, cracked corn, and ground field peas. My birds don’t like eating the ground peas, so now I am soaking them until they begin to germinate. They seem to readily eat them. Additionally, this week, in particular, I have been soaking some storage rolled oats and adding minced garlic that we have on hand that was far past expiry date, that we bought at Costco. I heard a sneeze or two in the hen house and decided that instead of giving them powdered garlic, that I would use up the previously unopened jar of minced garlic. They seem to enjoy it a lot. I have not heard any further sneezing, since. I have given them some cooked smelt a couple of times, as well. I plan to also give them some of our storage lentils. I also plan on giving them greens once the earth begins to grow vegetation again.
By the way, for ratios I have been putting half of fifty-pound bags into a tote and mixing everything and then putting that mix in galvanized garbage cans. I put in about two cups of kelp and garlic powder into each tote worth of grain mix, and probably about three quarts each of flax, and quinoa. The rest are in large bags and buckets and I am just splitting the bags and mixing up the grains and then adding more in the tote and repeating the action.
So, some more about my egg eaters: Someone wrote in and mentioned that hens will eat eggs when they are not getting enough calcium. I, also noticed very thin shells in the past three weeks, since the diet change. But, I had been regularly giving them oyster shell when we changed their diet. So, just in case something wasn’t right with the oyster shell, they are very old, I asked Jim to buy the limestone pebbles, last week, when he was in town. I have been feeding that to them for the past eight days or so, and there is already a marked difference in egg strength.
I don’t know why the real oyster shells weren’t doing the job, but we have had that large bag of it for a number of years and are now at the end of it. The oyster shells had been exposed to moisture and air for a number of years and perhaps they lost their potency? That is my guess. So with the new limestone pebbles in their diet, we are now seeing great results in better egg integrity and a large increase egg production in just a few days of feeding it to them. Buying things in bulk and keeping them for years and years may not always be the best idea…
One other thought: The commercial feed I was giving them must also have been weak in the calcium department, too, since they were egg eaters in the lot of them from way back…
I am now incubating a batch of eggs and I have been candling them this week and have seen signs of life. It’s so exciting. By the end of the month, we ought to have baby chickies running around the place. 😉
Once we have more babies running around and I have another batch incubating, we will be butchering out a number of these hens…
Yes, we have two baby lambs! They are the cutest little critters. I’m hoping for one to two more, soon. I spent some time with the new ram lamb making sure that he knew where his mom’s teats were and had a very good drink. I love it how the moms continually communicate with their babies. It is such a sweet sound.
Our horses had a visit from the farrier. Their hooves had been a mess. Now they look super nice again. I had tried to trim one hoof myself and could not even cut through any part of the hoof. It takes a tremendous amount of hand strength to do this job.
The cows are well. Our youngest heifer calf, M. is growing like crazy.
I spent some time in the greenhouse loosening up the soil in all of my non-planted trays to prepare them for planting in a few weeks when the day and night temperatures are warmer.
This week, early in the week, the three of us went cross-country skiing all around the ranch after we received an eight-inch dumping of snow. Jim’s recently-healed broken ankle acted up and Miss Violet had to be quiet at midweek, so I went skiing with our dog H. way out in the meadows a few more days this week. I love spring skiing in the warm sunshine. We had trouble in the past with our waxless skis collecting and clumping snow in certain conditions. We remedied the problem by applying liquid glide wax to our skis two weeks ago. So, now they glide super well on fresh wet snow. It is wonderful!
I have a spiritual warning for you of a Great Deception:
There is a new movement called “Taking back the Rainbow”.
Outwardly, this seems to be sooo good for Christians who long for God’s righteousness in our human race to take back the Rainbow from the horrible and perverse transgender mutilation of our children that is pushed by the LGBTQ crowd. And this is an honorable good goal, a goal that any Christian would want to achieve and participate in. But this Taking Back the Rainbow Movement is not good, because of where is it truly leading us. We must ask: What is this promoter’s ultimate goal?
Taking Back the Rainbow is a push to come together in unity under the rainbow of the Seven Noahide laws….which are an ecumenical manifestation of the New World Order’s One World Religion.
The Seven Noahide Laws are represented by the Rainbow. A book to read that explains the Seven Laws in great detail is: “The Divine Code” by Dr. Michael Schulman. (No we do not use Amazon anymore, I just wanted you to see what the cover of the book looks like. See the Rainbow?)
These Noahide Laws are not the Ten Commandments that God gave us. These are Talmudic Judaism’s Laws for the gentiles/nations and there are not just Seven Laws. They are seven base laws with hundreds of sub-laws that seek to enslave everyone and are subject to change at any time that the “rabbis” wish to change them. They are not biblically based, though they might outwardly appear to be. But rather they are Talmudically-based. Under them, you have to obey and this will enslave humanity. This, I believe, is a forerunner or early manifestation of the Last Days One World Religion.
In many ways, Islamic Shariah Law and apostate high-level Catholic leadership at the Vatican have the same ends in mind as the Noahide Laws. In this video, the “rabbi” tells all of the Talmudic and Gematric meanings of the rainbow but fails to say what the scriptures actually say about the purpose of the Rainbow. In fact, it was a covenant promise that God would never again destroy the world through a flood:
Genesis 9:9-18
And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.
This rabbi said that in the Great Flood the world was renewed and beautiful again. But in reality, it was catastrophically destroyed. Before the flood, the whole Earth was watered by the mists and the waters that came up from the Earth. It was one green and lush land mass, Pangaea, with uniform weather. But after the flood, the earth was broken up and scarred, it had huge mountains and deserts, snow caps and glaciers, catastrophic storms, and wastelands of bones, such as the Badlands of South Dakota. It was a new beginning but in a much more harsh environment. Beautiful in a more harsh way, and much harder to grow food.
The rabbi claims Jesus’ Name. In this case, he is using Christ’s name but his motive is promoting the “righteousness” of the Seven Noahide laws, which use the Rainbow as their banner!
These people are big into symbolism, images, numbers, and signaling. Look at the background of the room this rabbi is in, in the linked video. It is decorated with wallpaper of blue stars of David that look like a honeycomb. The honeycomb is also a sign of the Hive Mentality and is a symbol used by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a sign of worker bees/slaves all doing only the jobs that they are assigned. The honeycomb cell has six sides.
The stars of that wallpaper have six points, six triangles, and six lines: 666. The star of David is the Star mentioned in Acts and Amos:
Acts 7:43
Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
Amos 5:26
But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.
Now, back to the video. In the room on the wall behind the rabbi are three vertical straight-line lights in the back of the room. They look like three Vavs. The Vav is the sixth letter of the Hebrew Alef-Bet and stands for the number 6. There are three of them in a row: 666. Coincidence? I think not!
The rabbi said: “WE, Christians, have surrendered the rainbow to the LGBTQ movement”. Umm no, they stole it because the Elites (both Masonic gentiles, and Jews) are the ones that are promoting this movement worldwide. It is a part of their Hegelian Dialectic of causing/promoting chaos/creating a problem, which is in this case, is promoting serious immorality, and then bringing the solution for it — and the solution furthers their agenda. Their ultimate solution is putting the entire world under the righteousness of the Seven Noahide Laws/One World Religion. And they are riling up the Christian community to take a public stand against LGBTQ. Didn’t they just recently, or are trying to, pass laws against protesting against the LGBT community? They play both sides of the issue.
Tel Aviv boasts of having the largest and most openly gay community in the World and having the most “gay-friendly” populace in the world. And it is true! I have had many conversations with secular Israeli Jews on planes, taxis, buses, and on the streets when I was in Israel. These conversations took place during my numerous trips there. They said that they thought that I was horrible for not supporting the LGBTQ movement.
The rabbi promoting this Taking Back the Rainbow Movement said: “We need to claim the rainbow back from the LGBTQ, for Jesus.”
No, we don’t! What we need to do as Christians is to only preach the gospel, and get people saved. Once people are saved, then they will depart from their errant ways, as true believers. Taking back the Rainbow for Jesus is not the Great Commission that Jesus assigned to us. It is a diversion from our true mission.
Mark 16:15-16
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
The rabbi mentions Numerology. Numerology is Kabbalah. Kabbalah is part and parcel of what are now called New Age practices. Those are satanic.
That same rabbi is calling for the month of July, 2023 to stand up for the rainbow. I must ask: Why is he suggesting that we submissively follow the June “Pride Month”? Why not instead preempt it, in May?
This rabbi is under the ministry called “Discovering the Jewish Jesus.” Jesus was not Rabbinically Jewish. Rather, he was a Judean of the Judean people — a Hebrew. He worshipped the Father God, Creator of the Universe. Ahyah, the Great I AM. But today’s Jewish people are practicing a different religion, Talmudic Babylonian Judaism, that Jesus never practiced, nor promoted. Again, he was a Judean.
Both “Discovering the Jewish Jesus” and the “Taking Back the Rainbow Movement” are not Christian Biblical ideas. They are promoting Talmudic Judaism and the Seven Noahide Laws are intended for the gentiles. These laws are designed to lead you away from your salvation in Jesus and to deny that Jesus is the Christ the son of the Creator Father God, the Great I AM.
This Taking Back the Rainbow movement is a very dangerous movement for Christians. We are being asked to form a unity with Judaism and Islam against the LGBTQ movement (which I am against) but it is towards a unity with those who do not trust or believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God! Should we be in unity with those who do not believe in Jesus just because they are standing for a righteousness that we would agree with? No! Because in the end, it will lead people to deny the deity of Christ. This is a very dangerous slippery slope! We are being told to trust the rabbis. Don’t! They are putting us back under the curse of the Law!
Jesus Christ is the son of God who came in the flesh to save us from our sins! Test all people and all spirits to see if they abide in Him and if they don’t, do not come into their company. Read the New Testament and the Old Testament and let Christ alone speak to you through His word and His Holy Spirit. He will lead you to all truth without relying on “Man” to tell you what they think the Word of God is saying.
Seriously and studiously read the three books of John. His books are very pertinent to what we are facing today.
We do not advocate any violence toward teachers that are promoting bad doctrine, but do stop listening to them. Do stand by Jesus’ principles.
May you all have a very blessed and safe week.
