China Pushes Propaganda In Major U.S Papers
Reader John M. sent this: China defies federal law as American newspapers push communist regime propaganda. An excerpt:
“The Chinese government has, for decades, paid major American newsrooms, including the Washington Post, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal, to publish propaganda produced by China Daily, the official mouthpiece of the communist regime, according to an investigative report by the Washington Free Beacon.
In the process, China has also circumvented federal law requiring that foreign entities provide a full accounting of all stateside expenditures and activities.
‘China Daily has run more than 700 online ads designed to look like news articles and purchased 500 print pages in six American newspapers over the last seven years,’ according to the Washington Free Beacon, which reviewed all of the physical copies of pro-China ads filed with the U.S. Department of Justice as well as those that were not submitted. ‘China Daily uses its large war chest to purchase hundreds of ads in the print and online versions of the Times, Post, and Journal. Ad spending peaked in 2016, when it took out ads in more than 140 pages in American outlets.'”

Amazing video of immigration.
As a segway to Jeff Cooper and the Tikka C19, the Ruger Scout in stainless steel is also a great option. The proven reliable mauser action, good iron sights, reasonable accuracy along with 10rd detachable magazines. I decided to upsize, so I went with a Ruger Guide Gun in .300 win mag. I had to have the front sight moved back and the muzzle rethreaded to accept my suppressor adapter with 5/8 24 threads (I paid the tax stamp). The next priority is to send it to CDI precision in Florida to have the stock inletted for their bottom metal to allow it to take 10rd detachable magazines. Including the work and the suppressor, I have a rifle in a magnum caliber that is a joy to shoot (suppressors are very effective at reducing recoil as well as noise) and for less than the Tikka. Accuracy is decent for a thin barrel at 1 moa with affordable 180 grain fussion ammo.
Canadian Rangers to Get Tikka T3x Arctic Rifles
Very fine, and impressive and very much in line with Jeff Copper’s ideas. The peep sights are intriguing. Wish it were in .30-06 though. Yet because I installed a custom Picatinny rail on the 03A3, although only a dream, it would be possible to install that sight arrangement, in of course, a much less expensive form. Perhaps a windage adjustable flip up peep from PSA would do. This O3A3 would then be similar, yet a much less expensive rifle, yet would shoot flatter, and be almost as accurate, at least more accurate than most shooters can use. This is an example of a very practical do-all rifle. I say build it your self, or find one that resembles it.
Would putting the trigger forward as they did, be conducive to rapid fire that could take full advantage of the magazine? The Lee-Enfield is hard to beat in this regard.
That Tikka would be an awesome woods roaming carbine easy to carry in the thick woods. The .308 Winchester is a very good 48 state big game rifle that has widespread availability. Common is good !

While working in Canada maybe five years ago, a Canadian told me they were considering this. I actually thought it had happened but I suppose better late than never.
Interestingly, this is for Canada’s civilian militia which I did not know they had until that Canadian told me about it.
Many Canadians like their guns. They just have to be a little more cagey about it. Which in my time working up there, they seem to be pretty talented at. Case in point, Canada has high tax rates, but many (most?) Canadians quietly work under the table and do not pay a lot of them. Tax avoidance seems to be a pretty respected art up there. And they seem to be quite good at making rules and not following them. All the while smiling politely.
If you want a newspaper that is 100% anti-Communist and keeps an eye on China — they say it up front– subscribe to The Epoch Times. It features traditional journalism, and promotes Western tradition. It’s gotten so popular that Facebook recently banned it from taking out ads, even though there is nothing wrong with it (I have worked in media). Subscriptions are very inexpensive, 5 days a week with an easy to read online version that comes to your email box, and one day a week you get a print version in the mail. I’ve been very happy with my subscription and highly recommend it.

Was only recently aware of the Rangers(they were featured on a BBC show).The group were on maneuvers in the north,basically a group of older guys out camping on the ice. I thought if this was the first line of defense a group of well armed,trained Siberian Russians would roll over them like they weren’t there and serious resistance would be met around International Falls or Toronto.
I have a ‘poor boy’s’ version of that Tikka. A Spanish army FR-8 .308 Winchester CETMETON bolt action carbine. Mauser ’98 bolt action rifle arsenal re-configured to a training rifle carbine. Rather ugly in appearance compared to the Tikka. No box magazine but strip clip loading capable, Gosh awful tough little guy.
