SurvivalBlog presents another edition of The Survivalist’s Odds ‘n Sods— a collection of news bits and pieces that are relevant to the modern survivalist and prepper from “JWR”. Our goal is to educate our readers, to help them to recognize emerging threats, and to be better prepared for both disasters and negative societal trends. You can’t mitigate a risk if you haven’t first identified a risk. Today, we delve deeper into the implications of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Three Good Gun Bills In Congress
The Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC) sent out an alert mentioning that there are three good pieces of gun legislation that have been submitted in the U.S. House of Representatives:
- H.R. 1758, sponsored by Rep. Tracey Mann (R-KS), would remove short-barreled rifles from the National Firearms Act (NFA).
- H.R. 4312, sponsored by Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC), would remove restrictions on short-barreled shotguns.
- H.R. 6817, sponsored by Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), would remove “Any Other Weapons” (AOWs) from the NFA.
Together, these bills would negate the ATF’s plans to restrict “arm brace” pistols and shotguns, later this year. That planned ATF reinterpretation would unwittingly turn millions of Americans into felons.
Each of these bills would also require existing registration information to be destroyed by the ATF. Yes!
Please contact your congresscritters, and ask them to co-sponsor these three bills.
