Update on Medicinal Honey

“I have not noticed any mention of medical honey in my reading. There are several types of medical honey with proven antibiotic efficacy. Manuka honey is the one that I am most familiar with. I have been a registered nurse in the ER setting for the last 11 years and am studying to be a nurse practitioner. I have studied this medication rather extensively and have made it part of my medical supplies for home, end of days, and for use when I am on army duty in the reserves. As with all honey, it never expires. It can be used orally/internally. It is also usable as a normal honey food supplement. It is pricey compared to normal honey but how much will sepsis or a MRSA infection cost with no medical provider around. Yes, it is very effective against MRSA. All non-pasteurized honey has antibacterial properties but the medicinal grade is better for medical use.”
