This was a rare treat growing up down South, but it always made the snow days (also a rare treat) even better!
This would have been fun last week when we had plenty of fresh snow! We usually only get one snow a year, the rest of the time it is ice. Thanks for sharing!

I have read that adding vanilla extract to ice cream made compromise the hardening (a cautionary). May be true with all extracts, and so the caution is to use those sparingly as flavorings.
