Agree, on both counts. Holy cow the yelllllling…. I want to pat him on the arm soothingly, hand him a nice cup of chamomile, and strongly recommend he switch to DECAF. Lol.
But yes, good points made. Once upon a time I tutored a young lady who was absolutely obsessed with Justin Bieber, as I guess many of her peers were, doodling his name on her notebooks, SKIN, etc etc. It was to the point where, when I would ask her to choose any letter to use as a variable in an example problem, she would choose J, and then B for the next one. She was such a sweetheart and just SO SO timid, and I tried to draw her out of her shell and help her believe in herself a little bit and stand up for herself a little bit (and give her examples of good music, lol). Not sure it ever worked…
