  1. Leopold is probably the best (all around) optics companies in the country. I mean from entry level to high-end… L’s promises to deliver quality with a lifetime warranty.

I’ve got a pair of L’s better binocs. Also I mounted their Rifleman 4×12 on two separate 6.5 Creedmoor’s (A Ruger and a Mossberg).

A lifetime guarantee! Exceptional article about American made and guaranteed.

You just can’t go wrong with a Leupold. Ever!!

Both the mayor of Portland and the Governor would do well to emulate L’s quality and legacy.

I suggest both coordinate a visit to the factory in Beaverton as learner’s of a quality product. It would improve their governance levels, pronto.

Notice the passion (for quality) involved in L’s quality and guarantee…. vs. socialism. Everyone involved in socialism is “too cool for school”. This arrogant spirit render them useless to do anything meaningful. What a comparison of useless vs. useful America!

The lazy vs. THE hardworking who serve USA. It’s a TALE OF 2 AMERICA’s…. right there in Oregon.

You’ve got the best and the worst of the country in that state over there (like over here, too).

Too many of these modern politicians hate America- therefore, they give no service guarantees/warranty to America. All they’ve got is empty words. Portland’s been a mess for months- Meanwhile Leupold continues to make quality and lifetime guaranteed products. What a contradiction!

And none of L’s quality (Its almost a prophetic picture of the nation). Clear sight and product goals vs. mere talk dividing America.

Please lets all pray for our country — And if you can get the entire package mentioned in this article… good on you!

  2. I have one of the VX Freedom 3-9 x 40, and also the 4-12
I have been completely satisfied with both of them, I feel like they are a lot of scope for the money. Thanks for the write up!

  3. I mentioned getting a Leupold scope and the gunshop owner immediately cautioned me about all the Chinse fakes out there.

Is this true or am I get a snowjob because he wants to sell me something else?

If this is true, what are the tipoffs that it’s a knock off?

    1. Hubbs,
I don’t know about Leupold in particular, but there are a LOT of fake optics on Ebay, and also fake parts for ARs
I bought a Bushnell TRS-25 about a year ago on ebay because I had been happy with the ones I previously bought (also on ebay) but I got a knockoff. After ~20 rds on a 300 blackout, the brightness control knob/battery compartment fell completely off. I contacted bushnell and was basically told that they were sorry for what happened but that I had gotten a fake red dot, and that it was happening a lot.

After that experience, I’m sure there are probably fake Leupolds in the wild as well.

    2. As I understand it, if you give Leupold a call with a serial number they can verify to some degree what you are holding and if it is one of theirs. Date of manufacture and at least what retailer it was sold to and where as well as if it exists at all.

  4. I have many Leupold optics that I’ve acquired over the years and I have some favorites that I especially like, including the Vari X- llls and the VX-IIIs in 3.5X10 and 4.5X14 along with a favorite Vari X 3X9 compact for 22s. On the couple of occasions I’ve returned scopes to the factory for repairs they have been exceptional beyond an expectation.

I can’t blame the US manufacturers for the knock-offs coming from China and I do try and buy American which I’m sure many of you do as well. I’ve purchased some of those like the above mentioned Leupold compacts from eBay as they are long since out of production and occasionally available used from eBay. In the past when I ordered and received something from eBay that is broken, damaged or an obviously a fake, I found eBay to be cooperative on issuing a refund when the item is sent back to the seller. ain addition to the people that make the knock off and the seller are who I take exception to and in returning the item forces the selller to refund and costs him money in shipping and listing fees….
