  1. CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver are relatively straightforward and easy to learn, and can save lives in cases like these.

    I taught both to my ROTC students in the mid-80s, hundreds of them, and have often wondered how many lives were saved by those students.

    As for myself, I only used the Heimlich Maneuver once, at a resort dining room where a fellow diner was choking. But once was sufficient to justify the training.

    1. Isn’t that the truth? I was stationed there a long, long time ago. Before my time, they had started a facility to load them on trains and send them out and about. To prove things tend to go full circle, anyone remember GLCM?
