  1. I found his insights educational over and over again. His writing style is like listening to a friend. I am sure he is missed by his family and friends. It is too early, but I look forward to his stories and wit being put together for us to read.

  2. Reading “The Woodpile Report” was like listening to my grandfather and the subtle lessons he always taught with his words. The wisdom of Remus was and hopefully shall remain timeless. His wisdom and presentation was the stuff upon which free countries are built. Long live our Republic.

  3. Prepping for 50 years now…….have gained a wealth of knowledge know how and a feeling of satisfaction with what was achieved. Built three separate bug out homes, shelter, retreats in three different states and now due to retirement have started all over again. Over the years Remus was a welcome addition to my own insights and was saddened by his passing. My years of wondering what the time frame would be for the current conditions To surface are satisfied……I am not afraid just troubled that a impending civil war will be the result. The time for action is now, last minute what if should be put aside, our survival requires that we be ready for what final actions are required. Pray to our savior and pass the ammunition pure and simple.

  4. Great wisdom from a good man. We middle class folk will put up with a lot of cr*p. That will happen until we don’t. What we see on TV every freaking day is nothing, same story, different book. One fine (or not so fine) day someone, race or ethnicity doesn’t matter, is going to be pushed too far at the wrong time. On that day, self defense will turn in to just retribution. Leave it to the Democrats, and all too many Republicans, aligned with George Soros and his black hoodie gangs, to push things way too far. Leave it to Democrat, and all to many Republican, mayors to order their police departments to stand down and leave law abiding citizens to fend for, or should I say defend, themselves.

It may happen over the course of a day or a week, but on the day this all happens, I expect the majority of the police to throw down their badges and unholster their Glocks and Berettas and engage the enemy. It won’t be pretty. I don’t think I’m engaging in wishful thinking, the police are part of the middle class too.

  5. I sure miss Ol Remus. I had a similar thought about all the mess the leftists have caused. My thought was “when people on the right side of the political divide get involved, it will be to clean up”

  6. What a wordsmith he was. His polished form and educated analysis are something to aspire to. It is a rarity to see an author foment such appreciation of art and culture at his post. Remus was a class act within a dying breed. In a time when politics are quite literally in your face, rational and broad perspective is a breath of fresh air. The lessons he gently reminded us of are best not forgotten.
