1. Yeah I was stationed over there when the wall fell. Those were interesting days

      I was too. I remember seeing 8 1/2” x 11” signs pop on doors around the post with a quote from a KGB General about “lulling the Americans to sleep” and then striking. The collapse of the Soviet Union was a great intelligence failure- no one saw it coming. Unbelievable we have people who want that system of government and economy.

   2. I was TDY there for the 750th Anniversary of Berlin. Over 750K people in 3 days, crazy! I tried to get stationed there, but couldn’t make it in time. (On a side note, I almost got lost in the tunnels underneath the base.)
