Gov candidate Gianforte unveils his economic – and other – plans. The article begins:
“Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Gianforte this week unveiled his economic blueprint for Montana – a mix of often-familiar GOP policies, such as easing regulation on business, boosting natural-resource development and lowering taxes.
Yet the ambitious plan also outlined a broad range of policy initiatives that go beyond just rebuilding the economy, from attacking what Gianforte called “the drug epidemic” in Montana to lowering prescription drug prices.”

Bullock orders statewide mask use. JWR’s Comment: Montana has one of the lowest coronavirus infection rates in the country. (At last count: Only 2,231 confirmed cases and just 35 deaths–that is just 3 per 100,000 residents. For comparison, New York’s death rate is 42 per 100,000 residents.) I can only see this as political grandstanding by the Democrat Governor.

Living in Wyoming, I read each article that pertained to my State, and I noticed that on each article, at the top of the article it had an add for Michael Bailey for Senator in Wy. Senate Dist 26. I Don’t know anything about Bailey, but I do know his opponent in this Senate race, Tim Salazar. And I do know from Tim Salazar’s past record that he is 100% Pro Life and 100% Pro 2nd Amendment, his 2 terms as a Wyoming State Rep. stands as evidence that he can be trusted to protect what we believe in, here in the American Redoubt. Someone (over at the American Digest?) just happened to archive them back to #405 or late 2015… I noticed it, but haven’t seen any others before 2015 though.
PLEASE stop using as the denominator the total population of an area or the total cases, etc. when estimating the severity of this virus. This is an ongoing event, so we must use the RESOLVED CASES to extrapolate.
Assuming we can trust the data, Montana currently has 39 deaths and 1334 recovered for a total of 1373 total resolved cases. This gives a resolved case fatality of 2.84%.
Montana has a population of 1,090,000, so assuming a final infection rate of 50%, this scales up to 15,478 deaths in Montana alone. Many millions nationwide, as the Trump administration has been saying since the beginning. Mitigation measures will only work early on.
Thirty nine deaths doesn’t sound so small when you put it like that, does it?
Take this seriously and prepare.
Regarding the fake racist letter: “After confessing to police that he penned a racist letter he originally claimed to have received anonymously, Jonathan Lopez now has a more direct message to anyone the letter harmed: He is sorry”.
Really! That’s it! He should be removed immediately from an office that he swore an oath! Also how about charging him with sedition since his motive is obvious!

In the 20 years I have carried concealed I have only pulled my gun three times on Pit-Bull dog charges on bicycle rides with my wife! The first time was out in the country, the second time was just outside my city, and the 3rd time was in a park! Beware the dog attack, and hope there are not more than one!!!!!!!
Hey everybody ! The price of silver today is up over $21.00 ! Better be getting it while you can. A couple months ago when I bought another 20 ounces, the price was $14.53 . I am still in the market whenever I get a few more bucks that I can spend. The price is still cheap- in my opinion. Your mileage may vary.

I know!! I’m super stoked that all the silver I bought back when it was around $12 bucks an ounce is going up !! I even was able to get a couple of the Eagles that they only minted 240,000 of due to the Wuhan. I think they should call them Corona Eagles. :). Yay all of us !!

Back when dad was a Police Officer he and his partner got a call about a house with a horrible smell coming from it. Long story short, the occupant had died inside (the inside of the house was littered with wine bottles containing urine and the floors covered with poop and junk everywhere ). When they entered the house my dad had to shoot the two dogs that charged him as they had been attacking the dead man. Dad was lucky that day that his training kicked in and saved him from being attacked and possibly killed by those dogs. He was extremely upset when he got home. (He was formerly the K-9 handler).
Fox News has those kids on the other day and I was really impressed with how that young boy reacted so quickly to save his sister.

I’m not sure what Don’t Trust China is really trying to say but common sense dictates there Is Not a pandemic currently in Montana. If there were , surely I would know multiple people who were sick with it. I don’t know any! Every year I know many people who have or have gotten ill With the flu or cold . it’s not considered a pandemic. I don’t deny Covid 19 exists but it is not a pandemic here.

I think it is important to realize a few things with this disease. One, it spreads very easily among people who live in close proximity to each other. Two, there are certain people who are more prone to having a bad outcome, among them are the elderly and those with compromised immune systems. And third, treatment is improving rapidly and is dramatically more effective than it was in February, March and April.
If a person or someone in their household is at-risk, then absolutely they should be very careful. But draconian lockdowns and mask mandates for everyone are doing more harm than good. Having spent the last 25 years in healthcare, “First, do no harm” is ingrained into me. Ultimately, each person has to be allowed to determine their own level of risk they can accept. For me, wearing a mask at work makes sense but when I clock out I choose not to wear one if I am out in public. Supporting your body’s immune system with healthy habits is a good start to protecting yourself from infection. Those patients I have treated with serious cases of Covid-1984 all had one thing in common – poor general lifestyle choices which predisposed them to getting infected with something, Covid just happened along to meet their preset condition.
I don’t mean to sound hard and unkind and I’m probably not the first person to say this, and it’s not always true, but I have had family members in the past and one currently in a nursing home, and the truth is, they are usually the last step before the grave yard. Trekker Out
We have had 90 deaths on Montana highways so far this year. So is this a pandemic of traffic deaths ? Should we ban cars? While the virus can be serious the whole reaction to this especially in Montana is way overboard. The cure is worse than the disease. I hope the tort filed against Governor Bullock is successful.
People die every day in car accidents, we haven’t closed the roads.
