  1. Yesterday was quite a day. Our country lost 2 more great Americans.
John Lewis and Reverend CT Vivian.
The civil rights struggles of today are age old.

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.
    Psalm 133:1 NIV

The puppeteers pulling the strings at the very top of the pyramid do not want us to “live together in unity”.
They install their political animals to foster discontent. Our eyes drop to face our brothers and sisters with anger and hate. Our eyes drop so that we don’t focus on or even see how satan is stirring the pot of hate.

Biblically this struggle is caused by the love of money. When we truly free ourselves of that struggle to obtain gold we work to stay out of debt and become as free as we can be on this earth. The puppeteers are all about the gold. They will be judged the same as we will.

My father was born in Birmingham Alabama. He was raised to believe in segregation.
He was a combat veteran (Korea) and when he fought side by side with Marines of all colors, any and all of his racial bias melted away and he grew to love all. He also taught me that you don’t judge another person based upon skin color. You respect or disrespect a person for their integrity and honesty or lack of these attributes.

RIP Reverend CT Vivian and Rep. John Lewis.

    1. just fish, you said a mouthful. Your words, especially about those in power, speak to me.

I am careful about arguing with my fellow commenters. Being right is seductive to me and I would rather be in fellowship than be right and separate. I reckon the seduction of “being right” leads me to turn to evil rather than service.

      1. Once a Marine,
Your posts are always thoughtful and I find them helpful. I suspect others would agree.

Being right was very important in your profession. You could rarely afford to make a mistake. I certainly understand and respect that.
There is nothing inherently evil about a desire to be right or to be in fellowship.
I believe you do both well and good based upon what I have read.

I do have a tendency to lay it all out, probably to my own peril. I cannot tell you how many times I have begun a post and then erased it.
The death of Rep. John Lewis and the Reverend CT Vivian on the same day really touched my heart.

Thank you for your understanding and comments.
