I am not a big fan of Alexander Hamilton. He may have fought for American independence from Britain however he was a Federalist and actually wanted to crown Washington as King. We can also thank him for the banking system we have (IMO)
Today is also Peter Capstick’s birthday (aka Peter Slapstick). He wrote some of the best big-game hunting books around. I call him Peter Slapstick because he often, out of the blue, comes up with a funny line that really tickles your funny bone and leaves you reeling. If you’ve never read his books, give him a try, you won’t be disappointed. I read his first six books on loan but it’s been so many years ago I can’t offer a recommendation at where to begin first.
