  1. The Supreme Court has already ruled, rightly so, that “The People” in the referenced in the 2A are the same “people” referenced in the first, forth, ninth or tenth amendments. The intent of the Bill of Rights was to help secure the rights of the people from government. How blessed we are that they had the foresight to add these inalienable to REMIND GOVERNMENT they have limits. Now if we can only remind 50% of the US population who think government can do whatever they want.

  2. The Bill of Rights, as I understand them, are the Rights of ordinary citizens that are inalienable, basically coming from God. The gov is instituted to “Protect” those rights. That and the powers listed in Article 1 Section 8 are the only powers the gov can “legally” engage in while protecting those rights. The Supreme Court is engaged to say yea /nay to laws that come up that may or may not restrict those rights.
In short, if it ain’t listed in the Constitution, or allowed under the restrictions of the Constitution, bugger off and leave me alone…….

PS: Thank you JWR for all your hard work keeping the American Redoubt alive. The last Bastion of Freedom & Liberty. From the redoubt will come the will and spirit to rebuild this great country once TPTB cease their destructive agenda.
In the new year may God bless you and yours.
