fun facts to know and tell. the actual “Plymouth Rock” is pretty disappointing to look at. The Mayflower and Plymouth Plantation are very interesting. I’ve been several times, the first time being on a 1st grade field trip.
I must be a lot older than you. I have a picture of my brother and I standing on Plymouth Rock still on the beach in it’s original location.
My ancestors got there in the 1630s and went on to help found Windsor Ct. My original ancestor (a farmer/preacher) then went back to England some time later and his son remained. A historian friend of mine came across some notes that a parishioner made of two sermons my original ancestor gave on successive Sundays in 1638 and provided them to me. The time has a lot of meaning to me.
I would love to see those notes.
