This gentleman reminds me of an old friend of mine who passed away years ago. Joined the Navy in 1934 and retired in 1963. Saw Naval combat in WWII, Korea and Viet Nam. He was a good friend to both my wife and I and could be relied on when I was at sea in the Navy and my wife was home with the kids by herself.
