August 7th, 1933 was the birthday of the late Jerry Pournelle. He, along with Larry Niven authored the survivalist classic Lucifer’s Hammer. Pournelle passed away on September 8, 2017.

Why don’t you have a contest for the shorter articles in addition to the regular writing contest? The winner could get a lesser prize than than the regular writing contest. I think that this would encourage more writers.
