Incredible Men! I remember the event where the last three survivors met and opened the Champagne to toast their friends and crew who were no longer there. I am sure it was bittersweet with some good memories.
We have one of the last survivors of Iwo Jima here in town. He shows up for breakfast early every day at a local restaurant. He has been regular over this last decade. He is in unbelievable shape, and spry for 95.
