Thanks for publishing this recipe. My mother made cornbread for us when we were kids. It was the heaviest cornbread I have ever come across. My eldest brother used to eat it after soaking it in buttermilk. Another brother made it from her recipe a few years ago. When I saw what he put in it I wondered how any of us survived into adulthood. It was a real vein clogger, but really tasted good and was filling. Thanks again.
