I’ll have to get ‘American Crisis’. I just purchased Common Sense (Chump Change Edition). It is a hardcover for $8.44 at Amazon. Paine wrote this for consumption by the common man. Mercy, it was NOT an easy read for me.
Paine warned of a lack of masculinity, a short-sighted and selfish attitude that disregards its effects on future generations. Paine spoke to people being content with conditions that “will last my time”. Wow, that phrase hits home today!

Why buy? They are public domain and free to read or print out. Makes good handouts. I believe Mr. Paine would want wide distribution of his work.
