1. This old coot would argue that the ‘single greatest change wrought by the Civil War’ was the creation of the federal tyrant that re-wrote history and I believe will ultimately make all Americans slaves to it.

   Government schools have long buried the truth about Lincoln. Show me a government text book with these words by Lincoln:

   “But even when you cease to be slaves, you are yet far removed from being placed on an equality with the white race.”

   And “not a single man of your race is made the equal of a single man of ours.”

   Or “If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it.”

   1. Agree with Roger D. The Union was NOT preserved. If you cannot voluntarily leave, then you are not a MEMBER, you are a SUBJECT. That was the end of the Constitutional Republic. The existence of States became meaningless. They stopped even pretending to be States when their representation was perverted into a second “House” in 1913, competing with the legitimate representation of The People to bribe us with our own money for votes.

      I’d highly recommend reading the “Calexit” article in today’s Odds ‘n Sods.

2. And the 14th Amendment should have been a law, more easily amended and revoked as needed.

3. Unfortunately, we have all been tricked. Via birth certificates, we are actually chattel, property of the state, debt slaves if you will thru Latin legal language and political trickery. The big banking cartels own everything thanks to the creation of the Federal Reserve. And there is nothing “Federal” about it.
