I do wish we could stop using the term “assault rifle”.
There is no such thing.
It is a “rifle”.
Anyone else notice that the rifles the Marines are carrying do not have the bolts in them. Things are really getting bad when we do not trust the US military with functional weapons.
These are ceremonial weapons at best, as much intended for Combat use as the Parade Dress accessories their officers carry on their belts.
