  1. This was Kennedy’s fault. His weakness and distraction in the office lead the Soviets to believe they could do this. Also his failure to support the Bay of Pigs invasion precipitated this incident. One could argue that we had no business in Cuba and the Bay of Pigs but events since then should shut down that argument. Cuba has caused us a great deal of harm and have killed and tortured 10’s of thousands of their own people. If we had whole heartedly supported the Cubans in taking back their country the world would have been better off. Kennedy never really wanted the presidency it was his father who engineered that including voter fraud. JFK wanted to be a playboy and that is his legacy.

I remember where I was when JFK was killed and within hours I knew the story we were being told was full of holes. I don’t know who killed JFK: the Russians, the Cubans, the mob, the cia, but I am 100% sure it wasn’t Oswald. I think Oswald was a CIA asset (not employee) who could be “used” in this instance to cover up the assassination. Who used him? Hard to tell since he was associated with the Russians, the Cubans, the CIA and the mob. I think it was most likely Sam Giancana who ordered the assassination. AND also ordered the shooting of Oswald to prevent Oswald from giving up what he knew and he knew a lot. In fact I suspect once Oswald was shot that sighs of relief were notable at the CIA, Russia, state dept. and Cuba. Even congress and the judges and politicians appointed to investigate were all complicit in the coverup. That alone is one of Ameica’s great mysteries. Why the full fledged coverup? Was it to protect the country, as some have said, or was it to protect the guilty?

    1. Some books I recommend to get a better understanding of the JFK assassination and Lee Harvey Oswald:

Me and Lee, by Judyth Vary Baker, who was Lee’s lover in the summer of 1963 in New Orleans.

Dr. Mary’s Monkey, by Edward Haslam. More detail on what was going on in New Orleans (a plot to kill Castro with a cancer bioweapon, which was probably used later on Jack Ruby).

JFK and the Unspeakable, by James Douglass.

The reason Lee went to the Soviet Union was as a CIA agent, part of the false defector program. He pretended to be pro-Castro and a communist, so he could deliver the bioweapon (also why he went to Mexico in September 1963, wanting a visa to Cuba). He was also an FBI informant (and was on the payroll of both the CIA and FBI), and probably saved JFK’s life when he warned about a plot in Chicago.

No doubt it was a coup and a huge coverup. Which isn’t supposed to happen in the USA.
