  1. Greetings from the State of Franklin. It was cool last night, down in the mid-50s, with a forecast high of only 75 for today. A taste of what will come in September. Its been a wet and warm summer, but without the mid 90s of last year.

We’ve had our share of possums, racoons and skunks in the neighborhood, and had expected the deer population to decline after a five acre cornfield up the road was converted to lawn for a new house. But there were three large bucks in the field last night, so maybe not.

The river is mostly green again, after the brown of runoff from yesterday’s rainstorms. Lots of ducks and Canada geese, and a few brant geese along with the usual white and blue herons.

  2. Greetings from the Great State of Texas, where 75% of immigrants are illegally here. If illegal immigrants are ever aggressively chased back to their country of origin, it will also have an effect of stopping murdering illegal aliens migrating further into the US, such as say, oh, Iowa, where they can murder innocent Americans and throw the body into a cornfield. Remember, the Socialist Democrats enabled that, along with Crony Capitalist Republicans. Accessory to murder. Oh, I know, they didn’t murder YOUR child, so you’re ok for now.

  3. One would be surprised to see how much of the State of Franklin is still celebrated in E.Tennessee. There is even a State of Franklin Road in Johnson City.
