Awesome! Thanks for sharing that tidbit of information about this day in history. I was born on this day in 1959 and am a born and bred Texan, but one of my sons is a full time Alaska resident, and my great-grandpa followed the gold rush from Texas to Alaska in the late 1890’s, never to return. My family has a blood link from Texas to Alaska that has survived the generations! Thanks again!
