He sounds like a Keynesian-style Fabian Socialist. Someone I should be aware of, and wary of, not someone I would want to run my economy.
I read one of his books, ‘The Crash of 1988’ or something similar. We had a crash in 1989 caused by the Savings and Loan industry. I am not so sure he saw the S & L collapse coming but he was convincing in his argument that the economy is built on a house of cards. The author was heavy with charts and graphs, although I do remember that he broke economics down into a verbiage that was understandable to a person like me who views economics as a behavioral social science rather than a statistical/math abstract concept.
