Does it seem odd to anyone else a German coding device would have English letters instead of German?
Oops, “German letters” ARE the same, duh!
Enigma machines were commercially available before the war and the English had to have had several,the whole Blecthley Park project was a cover up for a intel op that got the code book. The english were decoding as early as 1940.
