  1. If you are on Facebook, I don’t want to be your friend because you voluntarily give up more data – location, contacts, phone calls to Mark Zuckerberg that you would be outraged if it were the NSA collecting even half the data. And the NSA, FBI, etc. just has to ask Zuck since Facebook owns the data, not you.

Some people say they will not give up information under torture, but a prominent tech talk radio host had to recreate his account after leaving because his wife was upset how her profile showed she was married to “blank”.

Also, do NOT put any pictures of your home or kids or anything personal – that will follow them through life. But Grandma needs to see the latest pictures of the grandkids! Go to Walgreens, print them out and mail them and make sure Granny doesn’t know how to use a scanner.

    1. I am amazed at the pictures of children (with their names) I see posted or that people post where they are or that they are going on vacation. How many stories of child abductions and home robberies does one need?

I don’t even post pictures of my cat.

  2. Home School Legal Defense is an excellent protection and resource for homeschoolers. They can be joined for an annual or lifetime fee. They have lots of information available even for non-members on the laws in each state. For members they offer legal council and protection.

  3. We need to stop saying please to our servants when they are being mutinous. The members of the legislature are our servants, and please is the wrong verbage when they are screwing up. Please is the verbage of the weak or helpless when used in the context of an abusive situation. Enough of the pleading, break out the whippings. Let them know they are not in charge, we will not comply, and we will not tolerate further stupidity. Ropes can be put to use if necessary.

  4. Would you call me crazy if I suggested that survival as a discourse has relationships to the surveillance state?

As survival can be defined by security, a question to ask is, security for what and for whom? Insecurity looks to be pretty profitable for the surveillance state.

  5. Old Gray Wolf gets it. If this doesn’t work, perhaps Americans should ponder this example of REAL AMERICANS: “when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism…..”

  6. Perhaps those in New Jersey should move to a free state. But maybe they enjoy paying the high taxes and bad gun laws. We have low taxes and good gun laws here in Louisiana.

  7. Left NJ when I was 18 after I paid my first tax bill and figured out what the rest of the state was like when I started working to support myself. I rarely go back. A few of my NJ relatives, who consider themselves conservatives, would be viewed as a left leaning “sort of” liberal in other states. If you remain in these states like NJ, NY, CT and CA then stop complaining. You have a choice – you can vote with your feet and move. If you stay in a state where there is no hope of reversing the liberalist agenda then it’s all on you and frankly you are enabling it via the tax system. “But, but, my elderly mother lives here and she won’t leave”. Then leave her and go back to visit or take her with you. If I sound harsh it’s because I’ve lived in many states and have also traveled internationally and it amazes me at how easily people accept without protest their local, state and federal governments bleeding them dry. So you might want to think about changing the wording on that letter about new restrictions on gun ownership to, “I WILL leave this state and take my tax revenue with me as it’s clear you are not here to protect my freedoms, but to take them away.” I can guarantee you your local NJ government won’t care… so move to a place where you can strengthen the position of conservatives by doing business in that state, voting and teaming up with like minded people that are far more numerous and free than what you have now.

    1. Well said. I moved from NY 3 years ago, should have done it years before. I was so sick and tired of the liberal progressive agenda being shoved down my throat…. that very phrase is what made it make sense in my head, despite the (falsely) perceived hardships.
I voted with my feet, my family has been far better off since. Don’t let the fear of the hardships of moving keep you planted in a place you’re not happy. GET OUT, and don’t look back. In a year or two, you will wonder why it took you so long, I promise.
