  1. Looking to relocate to the Redoubt soon, (4-5 years tops) The wife and I are getting ready to take some vacation time and travel to Idaho to scout out some possible properties for relocation. My question to the readers on this site is;

    Are there any resources I can use to help with the development of land for Idaho specifically?

    I’ve been doing some research online but there are so many terms! Perk tested soil, water rights, water shares…. so much to learn!

    Any help that is offered would be greatly appreciated. I will warn you up front… there are many more questions coming! 🙂

  2. Amazing 13 year old artist. Incredible talent. I wonder how many children with the capability to be a huge positive impact on society like this ended up dead? Out of 50+ million aborted? ’nuff said.

    1. GWH, I totally agree. The scourge on this nation for aborting nearly 60 million babies is horrific. God will not be silent on this forever. We are and will suffer for snuffing out their precious lives. I wonder which child would have grown up and possibly cured cancer, AIDS, the varieties of arthritis, and on and on. May God help us. We need Him so desperately, especially as a country.

  3. To CA ex to be,

    We used Todd Savage, Strategic Relocation. Since we were relocating from the East Coast, we couldn’t afford the money or time to make multiple trips. One of the best decisions we ever made. His knowledge and expertise of the area, from a prepper’s perspective, are unequalled. I found Todd’s attention to detail quite impressive. Based on our criteria, he found us the perfect retreat. He has also helped develop multiple retreats, including ours. He was able to guide us through securing water rights, hydro power and pond development, starting livestock, planting a garden, building rules and regs, excavation, and more. Everyone he uses or recommends has been thoroughly tested and vetted. He was even able to recommend a professional for setting up our retreat defense.

    I would also add that in the five years we’ve been here, the area has seen a ten percent growth, and prices continue to climb. If you are able to, I would advise securing a place ASAP.

    One more thing, I am not affiliated in any way with Todd Savage. My wife and I are just extremely satisfied clients who cannot imagine doing this with any degree of success without him.

  4. It seems like I’m hearing that there is quite a bit of government interference in people’s lives in Idaho. Government permits, permission to use water and big brother granting permission to live in the wilds doesn’t sound too appealing. Down south in my state you can do what you want, where you want, when you want and how you want without asking any government agency’s permission (if you’re not within a city limit) with the one exception of septic systems which a home owner can actually install himself as long as it’s inspected before covering it up. If a home owner here has the ability to do his own electric, plumbing, heat and air or any other construction trade he can just do it. No permission is require. No permit must be bought. It’s almost like BEING FREE!
