Some good news from an anti-gun state: The Connecticut State Police today released their training memorandum regarding the open carry of firearms in the state. [4] This is a significant concession in a Nanny State where up until now many police have treated Open Carry with contempt and high suspicion, and often with unjustified detainment. And some more good news: Arizona Governor Jan Brewer (R) signed H.B. 2455 into law Sunday, thereby banning the destruction of guns turned in at gun buybacks or otherwise seized by or surrendered to authorities. [5]
