  1. WHEN THE FIGHT COMES TO YOU: WHY THE PUMP IS PRIMED FOR A RURAL CONFLICT, BY NC SCOUT

Tunnel Rabbit’s comment on the article:

I see much of the same thing and agree wholeheartedly with the article. Poverty and drug use is a significant part of the population. There are commie leaders in the state legislature, and locally that will take advantage of the starving poor and offer food in exchange, and gain influence. In general, most people in my rural area are armed to the teeth, but they are lacking in several important ways, and the ability to organize, or to be sufficient for more than 6 months. Local herds of wildlife will sustain them awhile longer, and local beef herds will be wiped out. They are tougher than city folks by far, but they are not yet tough enough. Patriots are overly confident, and not receptive to learning more. They do not know what they do not know. Their bravo sierra is bigger than their brains. There will be plenty of bullets, but not enough beans, or brains.

A gang of local meth addicts could be successful out here in the boonies. I know these people. They certainly do exist. They do not necessarily have a political or ideological foundation, but a Machiavellian philosophy. And younger non addicts are dependent on a ETB card and the welfare system, they would be ripe for the picking by the commies, or criminal gangs. They do not share our values. These people could naturally be organized by a gang mentality, a drug culture, or the all consuming drive to attain their next hit of meth, the need for free food, and the new found freedom do as they will, when they will. The meth-heads do not need to sleep when pumped up on the ‘Devils Drug’. They are often younger and more physically fit than the patriot crowd, and some are heavily armed. They have been looking at expensive vacation homes, and entertaining a WROL situation for years. Home robberies are already much higher than normal. They may adopt the communist manifesto, and support if it serves them.

Are guts enough? I think not. Training is sorely needed, yet Patriots over estimate their ability to defend themselves. They will have to learn the hard way. There are sadly, but a few exceptions. I do not mean to scare the reader, but to alert them to the danger that is indeed possible, regardless if Trump remains in power, or not.

  2. TX2GUNS: LET’S TALK AK AMMO FOR SELF-DEFENSE

    Tunnel Rabbit’s comment:

FMJ is more reliable in all semi-autos, but because I’ve thoroughly tested my AK using soft points, I know it will be reliable in that rifle. I test all my mags with the different types of ammunition I have to make sure that all my ammo and mag combinations are reliable in that rifle. If there are several of the same kind of rifles in use, FMJ is the only way to go to ensure that all the rifle go bang. The nose of the soft point can become deformed when carried in a magazine on say a patrol for extended periods. Make sure your rifle can feed this ammunition that has been deformed during carry. I test my stuff extensively, because I know the most important job of the rifle is to go ‘bang’ every time. In temperatures below 20 degrees, I will use an AK with ammunition with corrosive primers to insure ignition. Cheap Russian ammo is not reliable at those temps and lower, even if it is FMJ. And I will not use my AR in sub zero temps as the AK is far more reliable. Be sure to know how to lube your rifle for temperature extremes, and never take it inside unless you intend to clean it and remove all condensation.

Whatever rifle you have, test it hard and thoroughly. My AK will shoot soft points reliably, but I would not use it in temperatures below freezing. As a result of my testing, I can confidently use my AK with soft points that hit much harder than FMJ. This ammunition will stop the fight much faster than FMJ. One round of 7.62×39 using an expanding or fragmenting bullet is worth several rounds of fmj into the same target. I use an AK for day work, because I know what it can do, and what it cannot do. I use an AR for night or longer distant work, because that platform excels there. I use what works best, but only after extensive testing. I will expand hundreds of rounds to make sure that the rifle works. Most folks have a newer rifle that does not even have a thousand rounds through it. They do not know if all their mags are good, or if they have a functioning rifle, or not. Most malfunctions are caused by a bad mag, even in an AK. If it is not a bad mag, then polish the feed ramp a bit. If the rifle and mags have not been thoroughly tested, use only FMJ in these rifles… Again, if you intend to share magazines with another rifle, do not use soft points, or hollow points, use FMJ. The recommendation to use only FMJ is a good one for several good reasons, however, if you understand the problems with using other than FMJ, and have done the testing as I have, then expanding ammunition can be a force multiplier. It will put down a drugged up assailant with one round or two, not the 5 rounds the Army recommends with using 5.56 FMJ in such instances. I suspect the Antifia types will pump themselves up with whatever drug is dispensed by Soros. I would strive to hit them hard as humanly possible. I only wish I had a semi auto box fed rifle in 7.62 NATO, yet my AK with soft points will hit them just as hard with in the range the rifle is accurate enough. Get to know your rifle and it’s limitations.

  5. While I definitely appreciate the sentiments and the petitions thereof, we know what The Book says- ‘There shall be wars, and rumors thereof….’
The book of Revelation is pretty scary in some parts. End times are Not gonna be pretty. Faith up & get your Grit on….
