The Editors’ Quote of the Day:

“There are some who lack confidence in the integrity and capacity of the people to govern themselves. To all who entertain such fears I will most respectfully say that I entertain none . . . If man is not capable, and is not to be trusted with the government of himself, is he to be trusted with the government of others . . . Who, then, will govern? The answer must be, Man for we have no angels in the shape of men, as yet, who are willing to take charge of our political affairs.” – Andrew Johnson

  1. True. However, we do have angels, good and bad, who are willing to take charge of men. The question is, which unseen element will we yield ourselves servant to?

“Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?” “As ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:16, 19-23.

  2. Everyone should have The Third Alternative-Self Governance book in their stock. It clearly points towards when Man governs himself adhering his actions towards Godly principles, there is no need for law enforcement due to no crimes committed. However, when man has no self governance and no creed and does whatever the “H” he wants [i.e. Liberals] then their is a huge pull towards having a police force to “check society” into order.

This is why Liberals always want BIG government policies and programs to benefit humanity, enforced by a heavy police ARM.
