Economics & Investing Links of Interest

Last Call for more than 20 Ruger models! A news headline: Ruger Discontinues many models [1].

“Effective immediately, Ruger is ceasing production of its LCR, SP101, GP100 and Bearcat revolvers. The company plans to complete its final production runs of the following models for 2026: SR1911, LC Carbine, PC Charger, PC Carbine, LC Charger, Redhawk, Super Redhawk, Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk, Single-Series revolvers, Vaquero, No. 1, 77-Series rifles, Hawkeye and Ruger Precision Rifle.”

JWR’s Comments:  Some of these models will almost surely become collectible, quite soon. Prices will surely rise. I suggest buying any of these models “new in box” or ‘like-new in box” if they appeal to you — especially any with threaded muzzles, since suppressors are becoming very popular and are now much easier to either build or buy. Oh, and you might consider getting a stainless steel Super Redhawk chambered in .44 Magnum. Those are de rigueur for those living in bear country.
