Author’s Introductory Note: Please remember all of my writings are a Gedankenexperiment, not a form of advice, but an extended thought experiment.
I can safely conclude that the Republic has likely fallen just before its 250th Birthday. My ancestors were founders of the original Republic and I am one of the small percentage of Heritage Americans left with 97.5 percent of people who reside in the United States having no original colonial Patriot blood flowing in their veins. I do not make this pronouncement lightly or gleefully, but solemnly as my family has for generations warned against the dangers of unwanted immigration and the importation of alien elements and cultures into our country. I am deeply saddened to see the Republic in this condition.
During the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin for more than three months stared at George Washington’s chair which featured a carved half sun and at the conclusion of the Convention said the chair was symbolic of our Republic being born under a rising sun, not a setting sun. Our republic had its moment in the sun and it was a glorious moment where its First President George Washington declared that he sought “peace and honest friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none,” but the American Republic aged badly morphing into a debt-addicted monster lashing out against the world.
You may write in and say it can’t have failed because the lights are still on. It is most likely a survivalist fantasy that there will be one big precipitating event widely recognized and understood right before the collapse and then everything suddenly goes dark. I have painstakingly studied every form of collapse from entire civilizations to shipwrecks trying to find early warning signs and opportunities squandered. Most collapses are not sudden, but gradual. The Titanic’s lights also stayed on for almost two hours and forty minutes after the ship was mortally wounded shutting off only two minutes before the vessel entered into history and lore. It was only because of brave men who stayed at their post keeping the lights on knowing they were going to die, but sacrificed so others could live. There was a small window of opportunity for the passengers and crew of the Titanic that April night. Currently, the opportunities for people to get to safer areas are shrinking by the day both in terms of time and economics as more people move to rural farms and properties raising the prices in their goal of escaping the upcoming cataclysm in the cities.
Your grandkids may pledge allegiance to the “republic for which it stands,” but it will no longer be the same country. Traditional Americans descended from people born in the country prior to 1965 will soon become a minority within our country as additional tens of millions of residents of the Third World flood our country and begin their rapid reproduction further changing the culture. Currently, the foreign born population is about 15 percent. There is a statistical model of the spread of innovation which says that anytime something increases to 16 percent that it is inevitable for it to become widespread. The demographic changes will occur even faster as native born populations are displaced and replaced through natural reproduction of invaders and White genocide.
If I could go back, I would ask my Colonial era Grandfather to have a talk with his friend George Washington imploring him to try again. If the Founders could see what this country has become and the road of destruction we are on, I doubt they would have emerged with the Constitution in that form. They likely would have locked everything down so tight that foreign invaders could not ever rule over the grandchildren of Patriots. Whenever I evaluate businesses, I am reminded of what Warren Buffett said about investing “in businesses that are so wonderful that an idiot can run them, because sooner or later, one will.” Our country was founded by geniuses and I will leave it to the reader to draw their own conclusions to describe many current politicians and judges. Remember this principle: If everything you did lead you to this, what was the point of it all?
How did our nation get here?
I hope it is shaping up to be a good summer for our readers. Some people are having a long, hot summer, but not in a pleasant way. Many people are unemployed and many more are concerned about being unemployed. I know of people who are unemployed who have received salary offers that are very low (often less than half) compared to what they were making previously. I know of young men with good degrees (not DEI fluff degrees) who cannot even find a fast food job. It is bad out there for those on the search for jobs. I have been writing a multi-part article series on the economy and unemployment to address these topics and to provide some ideas on how to survive unemployment and if you are employed to prepare to weather economic storms. Unemployment is the most common form of financial collapse an individual can face. Don’t worry the financial collapse of the economy is still on deck, but a personal financial collapse is still more likely.
As I was writing on the changes in the job market, one big theme emerged on the “Collapsing Social Order” and how unemployment is just one symptom of it. As I was writing about the collapsing social order in which multiple institutions are collapsing, I started getting questions and concern about the fate of the Republic for its 250th Birthday. I started thinking back to the contributions of my Patriot ancestors, men whose muscle and money contributed to the founding of this country. Very few people realize that it was not just a few extremely brave and righteously angry farmers and merchants in Massachusetts, but it was also moneyed interests in Europe, European territories, and throughout the colonies especially in the South who realized that Independence was worth the cost.
The Britush closed the port of Boston in 1774 which threatened the lives and livelihoods of all people of Massachusetts. This was prior to the events at Lexington and Concord in April 1775. George Washington, a Virginian, offered to lend his money and muscle to the people of Boston to break the siege by reportedly saying, “I will raise a thousand Men, subsist them at my own Expense, and march myself at their Head for the Relief of Boston.” War was expensive even back in Colonial times. Benjamin Franklin spent almost all of the Revolutionary War as minister to France courting the French, securing funding for the War, and eventually French troops and naval power. Tracing back my ancestry, I am a grandson of Virginia with my ancestors who knew the Washingtons and had extensive friendships with other Founding Families.
The current social order is collapsing. We are undergoing a major realignment both in societal beliefs, employment, and every facet of order of what was known as the liberal post-war and later post-Cold War consensus. It has been breaking down for years and now has fractured. There is not some new wonderful order that is now emerging, but it is a redux of the old utopian socialist schemes with socialism and its sick ugly fraternal twin sister better known as communism on deck lurking in the shadows. In many ways, the early fights of the late 19th and early 20th Century are again upon us with socialism making great gains from the fringes to becoming respectable. We have been warned many times about the dangers of socialism such as when President Theodore Roosevelt spoke about 1909 where he declared “Where We Cannot Work With Socialists” on the destructive power of this philosophy:
“One of the main vices of the Socialism…which is preached by their disciples and imitators, is that it is blind to everything except the merely material side of life. It is not only indifferent, but at bottom hostile, to the intellectual, the religious, the domestic and moral life; it is a form of communism with no moral foundation, but essentially based on the immediate annihilation of personal ownership of capital, and, in the near future, the annihilation of the family, and ultimately the annihilation of civilization.”
Currently, more than half of Americans reported that they are struggling to be able to put food on the table, pay the mortgage or rent, and try to give their kids some semblance of a normal life while trying to prepare them for the future. Very few Americans are paying attention to what is happening of how their country is being systematically disassembled. Readers of this blog are much more aware, but most people are asleep not realizing that the future they planned is much different from the future they are going to receive. President Reagan declared in 1986, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the Government, and I’m here to help.” In this article, I will cover the “Collapsing Social Order: Government” including the six stupid principles of government social planning schemes and some preliminary thoughts for preppers.
This article is being written in the days prior to the 250th Anniversary of the Founding of the American Republic and in the days before and after one of the most pivotal rulings on the Supreme Court on birthright citizenship and mail in ballots. Before the recent Supreme Court rulings, I sensed that the light was fading in the Republic even though it is still summer.
Civilizational Fences and Gates
The idea of fences is one of the first principles people who are concerned about the future need to understand. You are a product of thousands of years of good choices. If you are reading this from the United States, you were once home to an advanced rising civilization which is now in a declining phase. You were born knowing nothing only with primitive reflexes such as the ability to feed from your mother using the rooting and sucking reflexes. If you were born in the post 1965 world, you were born in a world where activist judges are taking down centuries old fences and opening up gates which were designed to protect you. These fences and gates are the laws, customs, and traditions which have been passed down through the common law, written law, and what was previously known as common sense.
There are civilizational safeguards and gates designed by your ancestors to protect you from harm. Out in the country, we call it the “rule on gates” which usually is interpreted as meaning leave the gate as you found it. In JWR’s novel “Survivors” gates are mentioned in rule 14: “Leave every gate as you found it, unless told otherwise.” There is a reason for this because it could be for livestock to get to fresh pasture, water, or to keep livestock away for disease prevention or breeding selection.
This concept was applied to people especially people trying to reform systems almost a hundred years ago by the English writer G.K. Chesterton who warned against making changes without understanding the unintended consequences in his 1929 book “The Thing” where he introduces the concept now know as Chesterton’s Fence warns us:
“In the matter of reforming things, as distinct from deforming them, there is one plain and simple principle…There exists in such a case a certain institution or law; let us say, for the sake of simplicity, a fence or gate erected across a road. The more modern type of reformer goes gaily up to it and says, ‘I don’t see the use of this; let us clear it away.’ To which the more intelligent type of reformer will do well to answer: ‘If you don’t see the use of it, I certainly won’t let you clear it away. Go away and think. Then, when you can come back and tell me that you do see the use of it, I may allow you to destroy it.'”
These laws and traditions of the past have been repeatedly torn down by activist judges and people who think they can change human nature through a stroke of their judicial pen or through destroying ancient principles. Over more than the last 70 years, courts have destroyed numerous laws, precedents, and tried to modify American society in an effort to mold it to their whims, fancies, and pet theories. None of them have been successful in their pursuits because it is a lot easier to tear something down than build something. By removing historic gates and fences, they have made the nation qualitatively and quantitatively worse as we transitioned from a nation where in major cities it was safe to leave your doors unlocked, your car unlocked, and your family could walk places without being concerned if they were to become a crime statistic to a multicultural hellscape.
The Warning Light of Collapsing Birth Rates
Rome was not built in a day nor did it collapse in a day. Birth rates in Rome collapsed first among the best and smartest families, then it spread, their money became debased over time, their politicians who were once men of virtue became corrupted, and its civic values collapsed. Barbarians do not conqueror intact, strong, and cohesive civilizations. The conquered civilizations were already in decline, rotting, and decaying to a point where it often just needs a little movement in the right direction for the entire structure to collapse. I live in a rural area and there are many barns that were abandoned as people moved to the cities with larger farming operations taking over the land but just ignoring the barn. One of these barns seemed to be decrepit for years that I looked at it. My dad and I would often wonder when it would finally come down. The rest of the field was farmed, but that barn was just there as a reminder that at one time there was a farm family there. Recently, a storm finally knocked it down. It was not a powerful storm, but decades of wind, precipitation, and lack of maintenance had rotted it that it did not take much for it to finally collapse.
Collapsing birth rates are often a canary in the coal mine of civilizations. Japan is projected to almost halve every generation if things continue as they are with the distinct Japanese people disappearing entirely by around the year 2500. Barring some type of massive die-off event in the United States, this country will not go the way of Japan, but the United States at 275 which will be known as bicenterquasquigenary, at the tricentennial and beyond will not be the same United States even if the pretenses of the name are there it will not materially be even close to this current form. Although the Japanese are declining, Japan will likely remain recognizably Japanese far longer than a future America will remain recognizable to past Americans. Japan does not allow the importation of hostile invaders, has very strict immigration controls and actively protects Japanese culture unlike our country where Whites seeking to protect traditional values are treated as pariahs and are discriminated against. If you want to see this change visually represented, you don’t need a time machine because you can find old pictures and newsreels depicting what America was like before 1965. You can even find Americans who will tell you about the world before it all changed. Currently, you can go to almost any major city and you will find signs in foreign languages, often you will hear foreign languages being spoken exclusively and many individuals in these areas have a complete lack of a common American culture.
Birth rates are often the way to determine the health of a civilization registering as a palpable pulse that you can see, hear, and feel as it is a living symbol of the future. The eldest current generation of people are the people who were alive in the Second World War era. Out of 16 million veterans, there are just low tens of thousands of these veterans left with hundreds dying each day as the average age is over 100 years old. Within less than a generation, they will all likely be gone. Some of those who have died recently left us with a very important warning about our own future.
Warning from WW2 Veterans
Within the last few years, we have heard from veterans of the Second World War era who warned us that the West has changed. You have been warned by many people of the “Great Replacement” that is not only coming, but it is upon us. Many modern problems in the West can be traced back to the consequences of the Second World War. The world of the 1930s in the United States was relatively safe and peaceful and that was the world the generation of men who fought the Second World War lived in prior to going to Europe and Asia. They were sold one thing, but they and the country received another. Imagine the horror of being a veteran of this era thinking that you saved the world only to find out that you were responsible for creating the preconditions to destroy Western Civilization. Imagine the disgust of a veteran, the son or grandson of a Second World War veteran who knows the sacrifices that were made thinking that they were making their world safer, but in reality set the conditions in place for unlimited illegal immigrant invaders to receive housing and food better than your family has, for your children and grandchildren to be less likely to receive a job, and to have to pay to support everything that is against your beliefs.
More than 25 years ago (before our culture took another notch downward), the British historian David Irving said,
“If the British soldiers on the beaches of Normandy in 1944 could look forward to the end of the century and see what England has become, they would not have bothered to advance another 40 yards up the beach.”
Here are the words of two veterans, one British and one American, speaking in 2022 and 2025 at more than 100 years of age giving their thoughts on what their countries became after the Second World War.
Alec Penstone was a British veteran who late last year at age 100 said that about the sacrifice of his generation:
“My message is, I can see in my mind’s eye, rows and rows of white stones, of all the hundreds of my friends and everybody else, that gave their lives – for what? The country of today…No, I’m sorry, the sacrifice wasn’t worth the result that it is now. What we fought for was our freedom – we fought for it. Even now, it’s a darn sight worse than when I fought for it.”
Carl Dekle was an American Marine who four years ago in his 100th birthday year reflected on the conditions in America now from when he was young:
“Nowadays, I am so upset that the things we did, and the things we fought for, and the boys that died for it, it’s all going down the drain. Our country’s gone to hell in a handbasket. We haven’t got the country we had when I was raised, not at all…It’s just not the same, and that’s not what our boys, that’s not what they died for.”
Millions of Western men died to set the preconditions to destroy Western Civilization. They did not know it at the time, but it will be the ultimate end result if the current path continues. I have heard so many stories of veterans of the Second World War, Korea, and Vietnam such that the first line of Sergeant Dekle really struck me. Over the years of talking with veterans, a lot of veterans said initially that they did not want to talk about it and when pressed I often heard you don’t really want to know and then among other things they gave me the bad news about how good their world was and how it was all thrown away.
Who is a Citizen and Why It Matters
There was a recent Supreme Court case about birthright citizenship. Citizenship is either the strongest fence or it can be the strongest battering ram as whoever occupies a country will eventually control it if there are elections. Recently it was decided that being born in the United State means that almost every baby born here is a citizen from birth. On farms, we call foul on that idea: A mouse being born in a horse barn does not make it a horse no matter how many justices sign the birth certificate and how much mass media repeats the talking point that mice born in horse barns are horses from birth.
Speaking of who was not included in citizenship of the United States, the designer of the 14th Amendment Senator Jacob Howard specifically and explicitly excluded all foreigners when he wrote about who the Amendment includes and excludes: “This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United states, but will included every other class of persons.” The Supreme Court in 2026 decided to ignore the plain text of the explanation about who was included as citizens. Senator Howard was completely wrong in his conclusion that his Amendment would settle the citizenship question when in reality it can be argued that this expansive interpretation is a major rip in the seam of the value of American citizenship: “It settles the great question of citizenship and removes all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens of United States.”
For any country to succeed, its citizens must have a stake in the country, not transients with an agenda and lacking allegiance to the country. The United States is not an economic zone of disparate foreigners who come and go as they please, hire and fire our people to serve their bottom line, but we were a nation where all people had a sense of shared duty and obligations. In the past, companies would keep people employed even though the bottom line could have been made even more plump by firing people. In this world, owners of companies often consciously chose not to fire people when it became convenient to do so as the owner lived in your town and he was part of your community able to visibly see the ramifications of his actions.
There was a great concern in the Supreme Court arguments about what would happen to children born of illegal immigrants if they were not given automatic “birthright” citizenship. As a descendant of multiple Founding Heritage Americans, I couldn’t care less about the children of illegal immigrants no matter how pathetic their lives will be or are in their home country. It is the opinion of many Heritage Americans that illegal immigrants are owed nothing and should not have even been here, but this Court has given the birthright away of all Americans and did not even get a bowl of porridge in exchange.
One of the great problems many survivalists will face after the collapse of the economy will be the logistical nightmare of refugees and unprepared people. Many survivalists have never been in combat or been in any form of leadership position where you have to make hard choices about how to allocate scarce resources. Our country is broke owing more than 39 trillion dollars and we cannot afford any of these people because we cannot take care of our own citizens who need help, but we have a Court that has opened our wallets and someday the whole world could arrive to our doorstep looking for help. When I was a child, I studied the collapse of the Roman Empire extensively. I was warned by knowledgeable adults that it is coming and to be aware of signs of Barbarians at the gates. Remember that this Court has decreed that any nation can send pregnant illegal immigrant women as long as they don’t advertise themselves as invaders and these children once born are as American as I am.
More than 23 percent of all births in the United States in 2025 were to foreign-born mothers. About 10 percent were to illegal aliens. The Courts have invited an invasion to our shores of “New Americans.” Currently, tens of millions of refugees are being kept back only through executive action. Think massive caravans of millions invaders walking into the country asking for your food, houses, land, and eventually women. This is the road of a dying civilization that cannot even enforce its own borders. Eventually, there will be a President who once again opens up the gates allowing tens of millions or even a hundred million in four years. There are about 2 billion mothers of childbearing age in the world. How many wish to give birth to an American citizen with all the rights and privileges of the American welfare state? The Courts have allowed them to fly in, drop a baby, and eventually that baby will be able to vote in our elections further diluting the vote of Heritage Americans.
Because of the way that mail-in ballots work, there could be tens of millions of new Americans abroad (not true expatriates, but Americans created by paper in a matter of minutes) who will be a voting bloc to swing elections. Montana or Idaho could easily be flipped to be communist states through these efforts. After looking at the numbers for both states, it would take about 500,000 votes to flip both states. With tens of millions of New Americans, even the most conservative areas will be overwhelmed by paper invaders screaming “We are Americans.” You have been warned!
There are multiple walls and gates of civilization protecting people. Most have been disassembled and destroyed by calling these barriers emotionally charged names such as “racist,” “sexist,” “homophobic,” which are designed to provoke a reaction which causes people who are not even mildly armored to resist name calling to foolishly tear them down in the name of progress and modernity, but in reality for fear of being rejected by ivory-tower high-brow phony intellectuals thinking they are provincial. In this stupid pursuit to curry favor with people and ideologies that are destructive and will never accept Western values or have the ability to create the level of civilization which only Western levels of intelligence have created, the Western countries first allowed the little outposts of freedom to fall first in Kenya, then French Algeria where a million Whites were displaced as their civilization collapsed with the choice of “suitcase or coffin”: Angola, Mozambique, Rhodesia, South Africa.
And now the ancient capitals of Europe will fall to these destructive invaders. Tens of millions of replacers have already invaded mainland Europe: they are rotting away these ancient capitals and even small towns with their rape gangs and replacement of the population through higher welfare assisted population increases and the dramatic homicides that are often reported. These European governments are inserting and injecting these invaders into towns by the thousands which is an advance party for future invaders which will change the demographic future and the same is happening in the United States where mass immigration has permanently altered the demographic future of so many once pristine towns throughout our nation.
Now, our country has created the preconditions for the fall of the Republic. The few remaining historians who will be left in the future will someday comment if they are not hiding in fear on how stupid we were to let all of civilization go to avoid offending the most unproductive destructive class of people who ever walked the Earth: the low IQ moron invader who survives by feeding off the welfare state. Rarely do people in a declining empire ever see themselves in one because they often think each notch downward could be somehow unlock some new escalator upward. It is the strangest paradox because people think they are doing fine until they walk right off the civilizational cliff.
This country peaked in literacy over 50 years ago where we at one time had almost 100 percent literacy, but now about 1 in 5 people are functionally illiterate with over half of the people lacking even a 6th grade reading level. Our nation was at one time muscular and we would never have allowed this invasion or the disorder in the streets that is now occurring. Over the last fifty years, we lost our edge, even hormonally. Many men today are low testosterone weaklings compared to their grandfathers and great-grandfathers. A young man today is said on average to be operating with the same testosterone level as a 70 year old man in 1970. It is no wonder of how we lost our civilization as so many of our men became weak as they don’t even have the hormonal levels of an elderly man from the 1970s.
The man at the gate must be judicious in how he allocates national resources including who he lets in. He must be strong and not allow emotion to sway him because the gate is all that stands between civilization and barbarism. Our gate is now down and the man will soon be overwhelmed by mass invasion of the Third World. The Athenian historian and general Thucydides said, “The society that separates its scholars from its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting by fools.” Our ancestors were strong men willing to fight believing they were preserving civilization and if necessary to assist their opponents in dying for their beliefs: to quote General Patton, “No [expletive] ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb [expletive] die for his country.” In some wars, they were preservers of civilization and in others they ultimately were the key to unlocking the destruction of the West by pulling a defeat from the jaws of victory. Right after the Second World War, one of our mother countries, England, softened and transitioned itself into a cradle to grave social welfare state. England gave up its colonies and now instead of flexing its muscles making the unproductive productive, it arrests its people for trying to wake others up before it is subverted and conquered from within by the invaders. We are not far behind England.
The consequences of the Second World War led us into the world of today where we are largely controlled and regulated by so many weak individuals in power whose ethos is moderated by gynocentric emotional hysteria where anything mildly offensive (but often very necessary) is deemed subject to cancelation. Western European countries where freedom of speech and of the press were conceived, born, and nurtured until it was exported to the North American colonies and later what became the United States now is dead. Thousands of people in Europe are arrested each year, not for any actual violence, but because their words might be offensive to someone somewhere. Authorities have canceled speeches before they even happen because they might be offensive to their new immigrant overlords and the governments which assist in dismantling the gates of civilization.
Let us consider the process of who is being recruited to become our country’s citizens. Almost two decades after the Statue of Liberty was dedicated, there was a poem that was inserted on a plaque through extensive lobbying and another four decades later it was moved to a more prominent place. People have been hearing it for years and it has been inserted so many times in popular culture, but few have really thought about the consequences of a poem written by a childless woman who has been described as a socialist and feminist: “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless.” I remember hearing that poem as a child and thankfully even my early training allowed my first reaction to be that sounded like the stupidest idea of wanting to populate your country with some other country’s garbage (the synonym for refuse). One of my many chores as a child was emptying garbage cans, so I had a visceral reaction when I first heard it. Reading those lines as an adult sounds like a combination homeless encampment, a tuberculosis ward, and a garbage dump. I reject that my ancestors founded this country to become a dumping ground of the world’s charity cases. Civilizations need to be recruiting the strongest, smartest people if they want to survive and exporting including denaturalizing people who are unproductive.
The Court as a Fallen Fence
A lot of people will mention about our “conservative” Supreme Court. The latest thing it managed to do was to save birthright citizenship from what should have been in the ashcan of bad ideas. Currently, the Court has a 6 to 3 of so called conservative vote. This is not the conservative court of the 1920s which was majority Heritage American with Patriot ancestry and who was for small limited government which has been characterized as the 40 year period known as the “Lochner era.” During this time, the Court managed to restrain do-gooders who tried to interfere in private contracts striking down laws which violate a person’s economic liberty.
In our current generation, this “conservative” Court has managed to conserve the “healthcare” law by calling it a tax and anything that is a tax is almost sacrosanct and cannot be questioned. Wait until the Court is thoroughly packed with another six full liberals. The decisions to take away your guns, to redistribute your land to the “New Americans,” and to remove your children from their Christian schools or homeschools so they can be deprogrammed in the public schools will be minimum 9 to 6.
I have been studying political science for years: Very rarely does a liberal President ever appoint a conservative justice who supports stricter interpretation of the Constitution happening only once in the last 60 years. It is very often that so called conservative justices bend and sway with the political winds to become “fair,” popular with the editorial boards, or to have “balance.” You cannot have balance with a communist or a cannibal. Either way you get eaten. We are at a precipice. We cannot afford to concern ourselves with how things look to the “world” or be concerned with worrying about a precedent. In order to put the country back on the right road, the Court would need to undo about 80 years or more of precedent going back to the values of the very early 20th Century.
For centuries, there has been great progress with peaks including the Founding of the United States and expansion of freedom throughout the world with Europeans and European derived people leading the charge. President Theodore Roosevelt in 1909 gave a speech about this exceptionalism which would likely be enough to get a visit from HR in the United States or a visit from the authorities in England: “There is one feature in the expansion of the peoples of white, or European, blood during the past four centuries which should never be lost sight of, especially by those who denounce such expansion on moral grounds. On the whole, the movement has been fraught with lasting benefit to most of the peoples already dwelling in the lands over which the expansion took place.”
The Founding Fathers were not idle dreamers, but realistic individuals who realized that civilization is perilous and can be quickly lost if not for strong individuals holding the line. Here is an excerpt in a letter between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson in 1787 in their thoughts on human nature: “I have long been settled in my own opinion, that neither Philosophy, nor Religion, nor Morality, nor Wisdom, nor interest, will ever govern nations or Parties, against their Vanity, their Pride, their Resentment or Revenge, or their Avarice or Ambition. Nothing but Force and Power and Strength can restrain them.”
In part two, I will tell you about the six stupid things modern governments have been using in their social planning schemes and some preliminary thoughts on what you can do. One of the most important things you can be doing right now is getting your lifeboat ready to survive the future. Part of successfully stocking your lifeboat will be with supplies, but the most important component is who is in the lifeboat. The people who are your friends and family will likely be the essential ingredient in successfully surviving, so I continue to try to find a wife, in-laws, and more family by marriage to supplement the people who are already among our family and friends:
