To be prepared for a crisis, every Prepper must establish goals and make both long-term and short-term plans. In this column, the SurvivalBlog editors review their week’s prep activities and planned prep activities for the coming week. These range from healthcare and gear purchases to gardening, ranch improvements, bug-out bag fine-tuning, and food storage. This is something akin to our Retreat Owner Profiles [1], but written incrementally and in detail, throughout the year. Jim Reports:
We had a fairly quiet week, other than helping our #1 Son move. That has gone quite smoothly. It is nice that he found a place that is outside of city limits. I wish that his new house was closer to our ranch, but he needs to be within commuting distance to his work. (The classic prepper’s quandary…)
We are readying for lambing season.

Dear Readers,
The weather was mostly cloudy and foggy in the mornings with some sun in the afternoon. We had temperatures in the high forties and mid-thirties for lows. It felt like spring all week. The Chickadees are singing their spring song. This week, I heard the Great Horned owls calling in the very early morning dark hours when I poked my head out the door to check the weather and temperature. One evening about 8PM, at the end of the week, I stepped out onto the porch to cool down (The wood stove makes the Great room, too warm sometimes.) and to listen to whatever might be outside. I heard another type of owl. I came in and compared owl calls from our “Bird Songs Bible” [2] written by Dennis Paulsen, David Pearson, Les Beletsky with Vocalization Descriptions by Gerrit Vin. The bird I heard turned out to be a Boreal Owl. Very neat. By the way, recently I discovered Bob Duchesne’s [3] YouTube Channel that is all about birding. He is very funny and very informative. If you love identifying birds, he is fun to watch.
This week, I cleaned out our hen house. The neighbor’s daughter came and helped me clean out the Meat and Fiber sheep’s shed. Now it is ready for lambing season, which should begin later this month.
We received an Azure Standard food order this week. We restocked Salmon, Shampoo, Einkorn Pasta, Spices, and some medicinal herbs and teas.
I transplanted thirty-six Yellow tomato seedlings into their own three-inch pots. I had put a bunch of seeds into one pot, because I didn’t think their germination rate would be good, because they were from 2023. Surprise, surprise, I think almost eighty percent germinated.
I ordered some linen shirts and sheets from an overseas source. I, personally, kept hearing about the Tarriffs but didn’t realize who was paying for them? Through through Youtube I was hearing rumors that the buyer’s were paying them. Well, two weeks after receiving the first shirt, we received through FEDEX, a Tariff Bill, that came through the US Customs, saying that we have to pay a quarter of the value of the shirt. Okay folks. That means WE the AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE PAYING THESE TARRIFFS not the sellers. THIS IS DESIGNED TO FLEECE US OF MORE OF OUR WEALTH. This means no more free trade. This is highway robbery. UMMM anybody remember the DECLARATION of INDEPENDENCE! [4]!!??? Trump did this to us. The grievances are beginning to reach intolerable levels once again…
Well, we’d better start sourcing and making our own. I have the material, I just gotta get on with the making of clothing items. It’s a learning curve, but we gotta start sometime….
Miss Violet and I continued this week to stretch, do Isometrics, and jump on the Rebounder (mini-trampoline).
I reviewed again, Exodus 20, Psalms 1, 2 15. I just about have Psalm 19 down verbatim. I and am concentrating now on Psalm 46. Miss Violet and I, during a car trip to local Post Office and running errands, listened to Ezekiel 32-39.
This week, I want to talk about some prophecies that we have heard recently. Before I go any further, these prophecies are only mentioned becuase they correlate with our Bible Study’s timeline and my gut feelings and my observations of Economic, Political, Meteorological, Geological, and Solar events occurring at this time.
This prophecy, from an unconfirmed source, in a nutshell: February is supposed to bring a huge geological event that devastates the Pacific coast of the whole of North America. If it does happen then one of the prophets will be deemed to have truly heard rightly. Next is the Economic Crash in March. This I have no doubt of, a crash is either this year, or next. Silver and Gold skyrocketing prices are a sign of an extremely unhealthy economic system. I believe that the Crash of the economy is all by design by the Committee of 300. Look them up, if you’ve never heard of them before. If you think things are expensive now, then just wait a few months. There are supposed to be other big events through the summer. that will cause much devastation and food scarcity. They are all designed to make the people, broke, hungry and desperate for a change.
Side note: The weather may become so crazy and unpredictable that traditional gardens won’t produce normally. Try to grow as much as possible under cold frames, plastic totes and greenhouses to protect and control the environment.
Enter the most concerning of all to me, the Elite’s solution to all of the financial woes, and the one that does fit into our Bible Study’s timeline is the talk of this coming Fall (of 2026) as the time of the implementation of the Mark of the Beast. The prophetic word is that the Mark will be introduced as “the solution” to all of the world’s hunger, financial crises, and medical woes. If one takes it, then it will come with a Universal basic income, food allotment, medical: monitoring of your vital signs, Driver’s License Real ID, etc. And you will have just the period from September to December to take it. After December, it will be absolutely mandatory to have it in order to do anything: buy groceries, fill up your car with gas, get on the Internet, everything. According to this prophecy, after December if you have not taken the Mark then you will be an enemy of the State and will be hunted down and imprisoned, persecuted, guillotined, etc. It will be the time of Jacob’s Trouble, which will be the opening of the Fifth Seal of Revelation.
Again, the foregoing was published as prophecy from an unconfirmed source. Only heed it if the described events begin to line up.
