The Survivalist’s Odds ‘n Sods

SurvivalBlog presents another edition of The Survivalist’s Odds ‘n Sods. This column is a collection of news bits and pieces that are relevant to the modern survivalist and prepper from JWR [1]. Our goal is to educate our readers, to help them to recognize emerging threats, and to be better prepared for both disasters and negative societal trends. You can’t mitigate a risk if you haven’t first identified a risk. In today’s column, a warning on possible terrorist threats to Starlink. Starlink’s Achilles Heel

In a recent video, an AmRRON operator in North Idaho warns: Starlink’s Achilles Heel [3]. JWR’s Comment:  To elaborate on an analogy, if the Starlink ground stations are the system’s Achilles Heel, then the fiber optics cables are the system’s Achilles Tendon.

Ex-Google Insider Warns on Near-Term AI Advances

An insightful video interview of Tristan Harris: Ex-Google Insider Warns: “You Are Not Prepared For 2027” [4]. JWR’s Comment: I hope that after seeing this, SurvivalBlog readers will recognize why I am so passionate about keeping AI out of journal/newspaper/blog writing and book writing [5].

Tucker Carlson Speaks Some Unspeakable Truths

A YouTube video clip of a conversation between Tucker Carlson and Shawn Ryan: Tucker Carlson: “We’re Going To Have a Revolution” [7]. One interesting exchange:

Tucker; “It’s one of the two. We’re getting totalitarian government or a revolution.”
Shawn: “It’s going to work for a little bit, and then it’s not going to work at all.”
Tucker;  “I pray you’re right. I’m a gold buyer on that basis, [and] an ammo buyer. But again, I have no track record of seeing the future. But I’m convinced that the current course won’t work because it’s a lie.”

You can send your news tips to JWR [1]. (Either via e-mail or via our Contact [8] form.) Thanks.
