Police: Evidence swiped in impound burglary [17]. A pericope:

“East Wenatchee police say they themselves were the victims of a burglary that was discovered over the weekend, after a suspect got into an impounded car and stole items that had yet to be cataloged under a search warrant.

About 9:30 p.m. May 13, officers found that someone had broken into the vehicle impound area behind East Wenatchee City Hall. Once there, the suspect, caught on a security camera and believed to be male, entered a minivan that had been seized the previous day by a patrol officer and was being held while police requested a search warrant.

Police Chief Rick Johnson says items were taken from the vehicle, but it’s unclear whether the break-in was an effort to steal evidence related to the initial criminal investigation.”
