On January 31, 1606, Guy Fawkes was scheduled for execution for his part in the Gunpowder Plot against parliament and King James. As he was being marched up the steps to his gallows, he fell and broke his neck and died, depriving his executioners of any satisfaction.  In recent years, Guy Fawkes masks have become a symbol of resistance to big government, worldwide.

Also on this day in 1872, American author Pearl Zane Grey was born. He was best known for his popular adventure western novels, including Riders of the Purple Sage, which was his best-selling book.

I have retired unused USFS emergency fire shelters that can be covered with a poncho liner taped in place. Given the simular construction and other test performed in the past, I would expect a similar effect as seen the mitten demonstration. The original case conveniently uses ALICE clips. These can be found on EBAY.

A lighter weight option that is in my pack is a 6′ x 8′ section of reinforced Mylar used for HVAC duct work. This is durable, and can be used repeatedly as a blanket, IR shielding, as a reflector in a ‘super shelter’, or as a tarp. Any concealment scheme would require time to shield oneself entirely. These shelters might be fine as an over night shelter from IR detection. It would be otherwise best to stay under the concealment of trees and avoid identification, not necessarily detection, unless one intended to use this kind of concealment offensively.

AI Bots and AP

Yes, the evil elite have created a breakaway civilization, and see us as useless eaters. AI is here and cannot be put back into the box without divine intervention.
We are scheduled to be eliminated and replaced with AI robots. This why I stocked up on M2AP.

Drones can also use Lidar and see through foliage. This makes traditional guerrilla warfare that is based in the wilderness problematic. Modern guerrilla warfare will be in the cities for this, and other reasons. Small Christian groups hiding in the forest may have to live underground, and arrange their above ground camp in ways that are obscured. and not as visible to Lidar.

There is usually a .25 cent solution to a million dollar problem. One way to protect the forehead from the tiny shaped charges delivered by tiny drones is use a heavy screen shield mounted on a safety helmet. I am referring to the head gear worn by logger who operate chain saws.

M2AP is military nomenclature for ammunition designed for the M1 Garand rifle that has an amour piercing bullet. It is good for ‘elephant hunting’, and other jobs, and it would also be a good amour-ed up robot killer. I have some left over, and plenty of AP bullets removed from aging M2AP ammunition, to load up to full safe pressures with fresh powder and primers that will be much more effective that the original loading, and good for thicker mil spec amour plate steel. It’s good to plan ahead. :O)

Riders of the Purple Sage and the follow up The Rainbow Trail are some of my favorite books. When I have a feeling most Mormons wouldn’t feel the same.

Greetings Mr James I am reading your latest , The Ultimate Preppers Survival Guide. Love the binding, the format and its your best so far.
Only I have noticed one minor error: You said that CB was VHF a minor detail only us radio geeks would notice. CB is 11 meter, way down into HF area. next to the 10 megtr and the 12. it takes a ham to have a generals ticket to transmit on these frequencies No big deal.

From my husband, a former CBer and longtime Ham (Advanced Class): A wider, and generally accepted, definitition of CB includes 11 meters, MURS (VHF), FRS (UHF)—all unlicensed “CB” services. Remember, JWR is always right!

It can be defined as either HF or VHF depending on the metric used. It depends on our training. If we used the scale as taught to Hams that is in Khz or Mhz, then it is HF. If we use an international metric that is in meters, then it is VHF, as 10m to 1m is VHF, therefore 11m (27Mhz) in the VHF band.

LOVE Zane Grey!!! we didn’t have a TV when i was growing up so i would immerse myself in westerns and such for days, weeks, months and years. Zane Grey’s UP trail is my most favorite western.

Zane Grey and Louis L’Amour are my fav’s. For Christmas, I bought myself a vintage Zane Grey I found. Need to restock after giving away my books to the boys.

yes at some point around 18 years old i received the complete works of louis l’amour from a father figure i had. i liked those but not as much as
Zane Grey(never did get all of them).my dream though(not realized YET)
was to get the complete works of Zane Grey in Hard Back.
