Preparedness Notes for Wednesday — January 27, 2021

Today is the birthday of singer-songwriter Kate Wolf. (Born 1942, died December 10, 1986.)  Her untimely death at age 44 cut short an amazing career and robbed America of a great songwriting talent.

This is also the birthday of the late Helen Chenoweth (born, 1938, died October 2, 2006). She was a controversial Republican congresswoman from Orofino, Idaho.

Note that since we’ve very recently quit the Amazon Associates program, the Recommendations of the Week column may only be appearing on occasional Wednesdays, henceforth. That will all depend on how many books, tools, and other products are suggested to us by readers, via e-mail. Thanks, – JWR.

    1. Interesting thoughts. Whichever way this all goes, I can’t see how we can escape some serious ugliness.

I asked my husband if he wanted to place bets on how long it would be until Biden got 25th Amendment-ed. He said, “Easy. Two years.” I would be shocked if Biden can make it that long. The man is PLAINLY unwell, and not all there. But he thinks “they” want Harris to take over at the two-year mark, then be installed again in 2024 and 2028, thus giving her her Constitutional maximum of ten years.

After the events of these past months, I cannot figure out why anyone would think that “they” have one shred of respect remaining for the Constitution…

    2. Anon, youcan be sure that traditional Americans will have litle chance with option A.

The Left being stopped kinetically, as in Chile in 1973.

You all know how I am about Americal imperialist adventures. Chew on this: “President Nixon authorized $10 million for the covert operation against Allende and instructed that it be carried out without the knowledge of the U.S. embassy in Chile.

With its mandate from Washington, the CIA attempted to bribe, coerce, and blackmail Chile’s Congress and military into denying Allende the presidency, launched an international campaign of disinformation against Allende, and paid a right-wing general to assassinate General Rene Schneider, the chief of Chile’s armed forces. Although a conservative, Schneider was staunchly opposed to a coup or any other military interference in Chile’s democratic processes. He was murdered by a gang led by right-wing General Roberto Viaux. One month later, the group received a check for $35,000 from the CIA. Years later, the CIA would claim it only wanted Schneider kidnapped.

With only one week remaining before the Chilean Congress was to vote on Allende’s election, CIA headquarters sent a cable to its Chilean office that read: “It is firm and continuing policy that Allende be overthrown by a coup. It would be much preferable to have this transpire prior to 24 October but efforts in this regard will continue vigorously beyond this date.”

The Pinochet coup targeted anyone outside the inner circle. The level of pure murder was horrific. Anyone who wishes for A would do well to do so from behind solid barricades.

      Carry on

  1. I must disagree with the Camel concept, at least for now. I’m convinced the puppeteers will keep the Dotard on life support and signing documents as long as possible, while Camel is kept dangling in front of us to distract us while controlling Senate, but without Presidential authority. She’s stupid but the Dotard is already set up and under control.

  2. My DH is also betting on a change in leadership date of somewhere around 1 February 2023. If Biden lasts that long, hopefully Hassis will show gerself to be so stupid/evil that even the Democrats will prefer a Republican replacement by November 2024. Of course, that is assuming we still have a semblance of an election by then. I am hopeful that enough states will get their acts together to fix the voting systems to prevent the multiple methods of voter and election fraud that were so obviously prevalent this last time. But then, I can be very optimistic sometimes…

  3. a)
Everything I see 2021 confirms my eval of the president candidate from last summer — the fictional character of “ol’ china joe” is portrayed by series of impersonators:
    * Their ears raise/lower.
    * The space between lip and nose expands/shrinks.
    * The forehead divot fills/returns.
    And most indicative:
    * They have occasional bouts of lucidity.

    b)
The cartoon character of ‘kamala harris’ is too bizarre for me to examine.
I suspect it could be a product of the same laboratory advertised as the source of the latest chinese influenza (and how much did that advertising campaign cost!).

From now on, I shall refer to it as “covid-kamala” or maybe “kamala-19”.
Irregardless, I think we can all agree the writers of politicalprogramming are getting quite creative!
These aren’t the Frank The Gimp and Harry S and Lyndon Baines writers from The Golden Age of newsprogramming, that’s fer sure!

    *****

What is the national sport of fUSA?
    Baseball?
    Nay nay!
Some say the national sport is Guessing Which Political Character Will Do What©.
But, sadly, the only players lately are those folks believing in their normalcy bias.

Here is my Second Fundamental for not getting played:
    * everything on televisionprogramming is entertainment, nothing more than entertainment paid for by ‘a word from our sponsors’.
Examples include Pettycoat Junction, Get Smart, and any televisionprogramming with a bumbling incompetent male continually saved by a patient intelligent female with only his best interests at heart.

    My First Fundamental:
    * Everything I haven’t experienced first-hand is second-hand information, and is inherently suspect.

    *****

I see no benefit to me of playing their game by their rules on their field.
Their ‘ball’ is sometimes a golf-ball, but other times, a rugby-ball irregularly switched for a volley-ball.

Did you notice somebody keeps moving the goalposts?

    *****

In other news… “the Constitution!”. And “the Amendments!”.
See my above point about ‘their game, their rules’.

    1. This author Lenora Thompson agrees with you regarding false pageantry.

      https://www (dot) lenorathompsonwriter (dot )com/beyondnarcissism/military-silently-screams-not-our-commander-in-chief-through-symbolism-at-joe-bidens-phony-inauguration

This article (and two prior ones she linked to, saying they’d make more sense to read first) are highly interesting. I don’t have any idea how much of it is significant and how much is just Hopium, but it was interesting reading. I don’t know if I agree with all of her observations (for example, in the second gun salute video, the person second from the left appears to have very white hair, and so it may be that the ‘bowed head’ she refers to may be the best standing at attention physically possible for him),…..but, Things That Make Ya Go ‘Hmmmm.’

  4. And to correct my guess already, my husband says that veterans do not return to join in with these ceremonies, so the white hair I thought I saw (on my tiny phone screen) was probably just a trick of the light on his very closely shaved head, and he’s looking down at the stopwatch.

Also there are four pieces in the first video and three in the second, which has an effect on the timing of the shots.
