One Second After was the book that first sparked my interest in preparedness. It caught my interest even more since it is set near where I live. I discovered Patriots soon after, and I enjoyed all of Mr. Rawles and Mr. Forstchen’s books immensely.

Big fan of Forstchen “the Prepper pioneer”, Rawles, the realist, & Bobby Akart, the researcher. Unfortunately after years of prepping, with Civil War Around the corner, I may have to abandon my family for 3 months & go to UAB for a liver transplant. Wish us luck. I’m 71 with my first child, a beautiful & wise boy, born when I was 65. Guess escaping to our Andes 2nd home will have to be put on hold. “Hold the collapse until I return healthy”.
