The Editors’ Quote of the Day:

“I never, ever have seen media this way. It’s almost indescribable. Making up stories, refusing to run real stories. It’s making themselves look like utter fools. There’s no journalism, there is no media. There’s pure, full-fledged advocacy here.” – Rush Limbaugh [1]

This is so true. I am appalled at what the MSM considers “all the news that’s fit to print” these days. Not only is every “news” article worthy of being on the Opinion page only, their selective amnesia and resistance to publishing anything that doesn’t tell their version of things is beyond the pale. Of particular note recently is how they insist on portraying the BLM/ANTIFA riots as “peaceful protests”. They for sure don’t print anything such as the horrific attack by the BLM on the guy and his girlfriend driving in his truck in Portland the other day. Nor countless other unprovoked attacks on white people by those of color or their “allies”. On the other hand, if it were reversed, and a black guy and his girlfriend were hauled out of their truck and savagely beaten by whites, it would be front page news and half of Congress would be on their knees begging forgiveness.

So I recognize that the “story” being told to Americans is just a story. And sadly, so many believe what they are being fed and that has shaped their outlook. We are truly a country divided now. And I believe absolutely nothing I read in MSM as I assume it’s only there to further their cause which sure isn’t mine!

Mr. Limbaugh is dead on target. The media have gone all-in on their push to gaslight the American people – at least for a little longer. If the Nick Sandman cases hit them as hard as they deserve, things might get a little dicey for journalists and media moguls in the coming years. We can only hope they suffer terribly for the years of propaganda they have delivered.

Rush Limbaugh
2006 arrested for prescription fraud
Multiple stints in rehab for alcohol and opiate addiction
2015 states “smokers aren’t killing anybody”, subsequently develops lung cancer
On race”….the NFL all often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips…”
On feminism “ represented by a frumpy looking woman who has been discriminated against because she is unattractive and ”
Calls college woman slut for promoting women’s reproductive rights
Married four times
We could go on but let’s simply say Rush is no paragon of virtue. More closely represents the model of the entitled white man.
Let’s keep the comments “fair and balanced.”

I’m most definitely not a Rush Limbaugh fan but I do agree with the quote of his that JWR posted on the site. I don’t have to like someone or agree with everything they say or do to accord credit where credit is due. Most things are not just black or white.

The good thing about an ad hominem attack is you know that the speaker/writer has nothing. No truth and no honor.

I admit I like Rush. Brilliant and understands what is going on in this world.

I also know his drug issue and do honestly believe that his medical problem caused him to over medicate. BIG difference between that and being a drug pusher and the Democrats are advocating decriminalizing the selling of drugs to children.

As for his divorces, I got nothing. It’s hard to take anyone serious who gets a divorce, right? I mean we don’t even know who was right or wrong or if either party was but golly he got a divorce so disregard everything he says.

In my humble opinion Rush is actually very lucky that he was not indicted by the DA of SDNY for his “crimes”.

Rush Limbaugh
“2006 arrested for prescription fraud”
And he paid dearly for his human failures.

“Multiple stints in rehab for alcohol and opiate addiction”
Again, what human doesn’t have failings. It’s up to God to judge, not other flawed humans.

“2015 states “smokers aren’t killing anybody”, subsequently develops lung cancer”
He is referring to second hand smoke. He’s correct, unless it is highly concentrated. As for his cancer, he is a lifelong smoker in his own right, and he’s paying the price for his failings. Oh, and on his dime, not ours. Being wealthy, he does not accept medicare or social security.

“On race”….the NFL all often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips…” ”
Do you not pay attention the the peccadilloes of all too many of the folks who play the game? I would say he, again, got that one right. I suspect he says something similar about basketball and baseball as well.

“On feminism “ represented by a frumpy looking woman who has been discriminated against because she is unattractive”
That would be Hitlery, in particular, and too many other feminazi spokes persons. A real feminist would be Tammy Bruce. She has said something like, “I didn’t leave the feminist movement, the movement left me.” She use to be President of her chapter of NOW, then she grew up. Yet she is still a feminist.

“Calls college woman slut for promoting women’s reproductive rights”
Calling them “sluts” would be just a bit crude. However, women do have reproductive rights. They have the right to say NO, they have the right to use contraceptives, they have the right to take the “morning after pill”, they have the right to seek an abortion prior to the detection of their baby’s heartbeat. Abortion on demand, at anytime during a pregnancy, isn’t “reproductive rights”, it’s murder of a defenseless human being. The only exemption would be if there comes a choice between loosing the baby and loosing both mother and baby. Then the woman has a right to protect her own life. Using abortion as a means of birth control, as a means to alleviate an inconvenience, is morally repugnant.

“Married four times”
Again, a flawed human. So? Oh, wait, his wives had no part in making a bad marriage?

“We could go on but let’s simply say Rush is no paragon of virtue.”
Are any of us? I don’t believe he claims to be a “paragon of virtue”.

“More closely represents the model of the entitled white man.”
So let me get this straight, only “white” men lack “virtue”. Only “white” “men” act entitled.
Really? Hmmm… Payed any attention to Barrack lately? How about Kamala or AOC or, for that matter, Gretchen Whitmer?

“Let’s keep the comments “fair and balanced.” ”
Done, as you requested.

As to what Rush says about the media: He’s right! So is Hannity, “Journalism in America is dead.”

The only real journalism I can find are at Breitbart, the Gateway Pundit, and, just for a real kick in the behind, RT and Russia Insider. Fox News gets the occasional question mark on their journalistic integrity. There are many independent journalists out there that are doing terrific investigative work, Andy Ngo and Sara Carter come to mind.

“It is worse than it has ever been.” Recency bias: Recency bias is a cognitive bias that favors recent events over historic ones. A memory bias, recency bias gives “greater importance to the most recent event”, such as the final lawyer’s closing argument a jury hears before being dismissed to deliberate.

Rush plays this game better than most. Please ask for a moment how this serves him and his advertisers.

Take a look at how the press covered the Spanish American War, Philippine Insurrection, WWI, the War in Vietnam. Compare what the press and history books told us about the Banana Republics, then read Smedley Butler’s account.

MSM, print and broadcast has bent facts to serve the government and corporate overlords for a very long time.

Rush’s personal life is his own business. His rants and slurs, so what. If you choose to believe what he says about MSM without checking your history, well…

Carry on in grace

I realized I might offer some clarification.

I started listening to Rush in 1988, his first year on national radio, I think. If I’m mistaken, please say so. He made a statement about Abe Lincoln writing in about 1856, defending slavery. Got me thinking. I value Rush for that.

If I remember right, he is named after his grandfather. Seems he told that story early on.

Now, regarding recency bias. It is a natural human tendency. Each of us does it, often without reflecting.

I have seen people taken advantage of by those who say “things are worse than they have ever been” or something like that and selling a product or service you “really need” to fix the situation. Joe Biden plays the game very well.

Perhaps you have noted this in advertising. I get pretty peeved about it. Just ask my sweet spouse.

So I prefer speaking from this place instead of from my high horse, which I reckon I was doing in the last post.

Carry on in grace

Been listening a few decades or so and his vision and predictions are uncanny. Sometimes its days and sometimes a decade to unfold. The left loves to take a sound bite he made and turn it to a racist slur. I remember a time when the left was calling him a racist pretty heavily. That was the day he introduced mr snurdly who works for him, a black man whom i assume was like his producer and sounding board for advice.
