Preparedness Notes for Friday — March 22, 2019

This is the birthday of Louis L’Amour. (Born 1908, died 1988.) Some of his novels have survival themes. One of the most notable ones of interest to survivalists is Last of the Breed [1].

Last Of The Breed was awesome. Another (non-cowboy) book of his that is awesome is The Walking Drum. Hard to find and a long read but super interesting.

His autobiography, Confessions of a Wandering Man, is really good, too. You see just how many adventures — real ones — he had before he ever wrote one word!

I think my Grandpa read every single title. He was, after all, that kind of man. I miss him dearly!
