Here are the latest news items and commentary on current economics news, market trends, stocks, investing opportunities, and the precious metals markets. We also cover hedges, derivatives, and obscura. And it bears mention that most of these items are from the “tangibles heavy” contrarian perspective of SurvivalBlog’s Founder and Senior Editor, JWR. This is the news that you won’t hear on CNBC! Today’s focus is on Auto Loan Delinquencies. (See the Economy & Finance section.)

News Tips:

Please send your economics and investing news tips to JWR [14]. (Either via e-mail of via our Contact form.) These are often especially relevant, because they come from folks who particularly watch individual markets. And due to their diligence and focus, we benefit from fresh “on target” investing news. We often get the scoop on economic and investing news that is probably ignored (or reported late) by mainstream American news outlets. Thanks!

Western shows are also a good place to find pre 1898 guns. You can pick up a small break top Smith in 38 and 32 variations for $150-$300. Collectors look for perfect condition and prices reflect that. Some of the roughest look rifles I have seen had good bores and shot great. Remember that for function if it has a bad bore it can be rebarreled if the price is low enough.
